  1. Roads66 in Stoke on Trent had one in many years ago must have been 1993 or so! Fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I'd never have traded in an original for a Jem though he must have been mad!!! They were just unique design at the time!! and really no one has ever done anything like it since??!!
  2. I've never done one myself but have been doing plenty of research on them. Will start to do some test dips this weekend... may even have a go at the headstock if the tests are ok!!! I'll get some pics up when I have for you to look at fella!!
  3. Dude I have an industrial strengh dust extractor in the roof of my shed!!! Health and Safety and all that Thanks for the feedback yes the tips are quite vunerable but very very strong!!! I wanted it to be thinner than the original version and I hope with a bit of care it will work out!! Awesome.. but aint your nose between the roof and the router.... This is true but what you cant see from the pic is the extractor unit behind the router... you are right though I should have had a mask on anyway!!!

  5. Hello all!! Hope your very well! I havent built a guitar in several years now. However recently I have made myself some more free time. I've always wanted to try to recreate my own Steve Vai Flame guitar but with some twists... Here are the up to now results!!! Ok so 25.5" scale Floyd Rose and will have a swirl finish as well... I hope ) Go easy on me as I said its been a while Body is English dried oak. need it to be strong enough as most of this will be cut away... gluing up!! Here ive used the hegner to rough cut the body... yes I'm using a scroll saw as I find it easier to do curves on this than a bandsaw... Plus havent got a bandsaw *shhhhh* lol Routing out the neck pocket... and please dont diss the silly hat Fits quite well me thinks!! Ok so now I have the Trem, pickup and volume pots sorted... will start on the fretboard next... thanks for looking all!! Any and all feedback will be welcome... constructive or not
