  1. The only time I ever see people jump on people about using the search feature is when that member asks the same question over and over again, making multiple topics all dealing with the same thing & not taking peoples advice. I have not seen any one go off on some one for asking a legit question. There is generally more to the story than you know. Considering you haven’t been around here for that long you may not be seeing the stuff prior to your arrival.

I would like to think that a search is pretty much common sense for people these days but I know its not. I do agree that it would be beneficial to have something at the very top of the forum indicating all the rules & common courtesies that should apply to the forum. Right now I think some of the info is out of place scattered through the forum.

  2. Soulfly better than old Sepultura????? ARE YOU HIGH?!?!?!?!?!? Soulfly is nu-metal GARBAGE.

No one has mentioned the actually good Sepultura albums. You people seem to forget what kind of Band Sepultura really was. Id gladly take Bestial Devastation, Morbid Visions, Schizophrenia, Arise against any of the sub-par albums Soulfly ever has released.

Sepultura is pure classic Brazilian Black/Thrash metal........Soulfly is here to make Max $$$$$$, ill pass.

Oh yeah, to save face.....this is all "IMO." :D

  3. In no way was maiden "abusing" his role as mod. In fact, I think he did his job in an extremely polite manner. If you can’t bother to read the rules than that is your problem, throwing a tantrum and running away from the forum IMO = good riddance, we don’t need your drama.

Is it REALLY that hard to say "I’m sorry, I will read the rules on pic posting and correct MY mistake." In this case, I guess so!

  4. Wayne built that one himself soooo its definately possible.

No, Wayne bought an old Stanley overarm pin router (google it) and refurbished it and added a new table.

Thats what I meant....I know he didn't actually fabricate everything. sorry for not being clear.

Anyway, I am in the process of building a pin arm table myself. I purchased a router and plunge base. I made a shelf for the plunge base to sit on with an arm that adjusts in inch increments, I will use the plunge base for fine adjustments. It has a table with a vice for the pins etc. Its all made out of steel. I will post pics of it when is finished. So it is definitely possible to make something useful.

  5. Not to burst your bubble, but this one sold for about half of what you are asking on Ebay, complete with front logo and in great shape!

    :D

Not to burst your bubble but thats not the same head. Silver logo + carpet = 10 years newer than the one I have, possibly even Washburn made, even though it says it is not.

    This is the one I have;

Thanks though...I really dont think Im asking too much for this amp at all. I cant beleive these dont sell for $1000+!! These thing SCREAMS!

  6. the router looks fine..i actually have several ranging from a 3hp makita to a $40 black and decker and each has it's uses.

i would definitely recommend against getting a bench top band saw for guitar building unless that's absolutely all you can afford. they don't have the blade guiding properties of bigger, more expensive saws and they definitely don't have the power that you need for larger projects. i have two in my storeroom that i've retired for just those reasons. i don't know what the used tool market is where you live but look around a little and you may find a descent saw used for the same price.

    good luck!

what kind of saw would you reccomend??

Ity all depends on how much you can afford and what do you plan to do with the saw. For instance, at the end of this month I am moving my shop out of my gargage and into a 1000 square foot wharehouse, at the same time I am upgrading my tools and the saw is the first one. I settled on the 17" 2 HP Extreme Series Bandsaw http://www.grizzly.com/products/G0513X . Again it all depends on what you really plan to do with your tools. Main thing is you NEVER want to waste your money and buy less than what you need. For instance, I would not recomend purchasing anything smaller than a 14" band saw even for the week end enthuist guitar builder. Look around and check out all your options, try and talk to luthiers in your country to try and get an idea of what decent saws are available to you. Save your money and get something that will actually help you out and not hold you back (you dont really want to fight with a small tabel top bandsaw, they usually win!), in the end it will be well worth it!

  7. BRAND NEW Ampeg B4R 1000 watt, 3 rack space solid state w/ 9 band eq. $950 includes shipping. BRAND NEW.

Mid 80's Randall RG100ES 100 watt head. The front logo is missing, tolex is in pretty good shape, has a few cigarette burns and small tears. Looks pretty good for a 20 year old amp. I know George lynch & Dimebag Darrell used to use this amp. $300 includes shipping. Did I mention this thing is LOUD!?!?!

I can supply pixs if needed.
