it is real wood

looking on the back and in the cavities its two peices of wood with a top glued on. its very nice and feels great.

hard to say..you didn't say what brand it was or whether the bridge and tailpiece were included.  is that electrical tape for the fret markers or inlay..just curious.

it looks like it would make a nice guitar when finished.

its an Ivar Johnson Les Paul (ive never heard of them either) the guy i got it from said it was made in the 70's. yes those are inlay not tape and it hase what looks lik mop inlays on the headstock (all the parts did come execpt pick ups).

its a complete guitar (minus pickups im looking for new ones atm). this thing is solid and heavy but needs a bit of finish work.

im looking for some help in starighting a neck on a very old bass guitar(im not exectly sure how old). the neck has NO TRUSS ROD AT ALL (its not hidden in the neck joint). well im wondering if there is any way to fix it. and if there is is it some thing i can do my self?
