    O also, what is the best type of wood to use for a neck through body for a 7-string for the neck and the body? -RAF

    I definitely want a neck through the size of the wood is for the body alone because it is a weird shape and has to be that big to compensate for the angles. -RAF

    I am building a guitar and i need a piece of wood for the body that is about 35" x 25" x 3". I cannot seem to find wood this big. Can any one point me in the right direction? Also, I can't find where it tells you how to do a neck through body on teh project guitars site. Can any one point me to that also? Thanks. -RAF

    Hey all. I am starting to build my own 7 string guitar and i was wonderign the best places to get supplies for it. It is oversized and everything is out of the ordinary and i am having trouble finding parts for it. I need to know where to get everything from wood to knobs and 7-string stuff tends to be hard to come by. I plan on shaping it myself and i want it ot be neckthrough. If any one has any tips please let me know. I checked out the site but didnt find anything to my liking. Thanks. -RAF

    thanks for the input. After much consideration i have decided to build a new one. i do currently own a 7 string i love it so his one will be a 7 string as well. It based off the flying v design with some neat cut outs. I have designed it i just need to get the wood and start it. Ill put up some drawings when i get them scanned. Thanks all. -RAF

    Does any one have any tips or know how on how to convert a 6-string guitar into a 7-string guitar?
