  1. I could most likely supple the veneer and it'd probably be quater matched maple burl.. All I'd request is that it is neatly done in a timely fasion... So.. who does it and how much do ya charge?
  2. Mine are bigger. I'm moobalicious.
  3. I've redone this with a new subject line and lower price If someone could delete this one.. that'd be cool. I tried.. but it wouldn't let me edit the subject line.. or delete the post. I just think there's little chance of the person who read it and said.. "Hmm, that's a bit too much." re-reading it if nothing seems to have changed.. ya know? Try to understand, please!
  4. I bought this cheapie on e-bay awhile ago.. but have come to find it's a great guitar. It's strat style, with individual on/off switches for each of the pickups.. it's configured S/S/H... the two singles are actually early stacked humbuckers.. one of them says "Patented" the other "Patent Applied For".. It has single tone and volume controls. It has a 70's Fender Strat headstock.. with truss rod cover.. and a birdseye maple on maple neck. It's incredibly fast.. brass nut.. brass bridge pieces. No pickguard.. it has rings for the pickups.. Some kind of black racing stripes deal running up the middle of the tobacco burst coloured body.. um.. that's about it.. it has a black oval with "Richmond" written in script in gold inside the oval. I believe it to be from the mid to late 70s.. maybe early 80's.. as it has that contemporary strat thing goin' on. Any info appreciated...
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2540829079 Be sure to check out my other auctions, as well! ;-)
  6. Airmail would cost around $40 fully insured. If you're still interested and serious about it, e-mail me.. I might be able to cut ya a deal. There's a bid on it now.. so the Buy It Now is gone.. but I'm sure we could work something out. I had to relist it last night.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2540588399
  7. I e-mailed you a few days ago about the pickups you're selling.. but.. received no response.. so I think I'm having some of the problems others described. Is there anyway you could e-mail the list to: MyBluePeriod@msn.com ?
  8. I don't know too much about them either.. that's why I'm selling it 1/2 based on construction and 1/2 based on condition and sound. Probably asking way too much for it, but blah.. It's a very well made, great sounding guitar.
  9. On topic? Fine then.. As far as trades go, I'm STRONGLY thinking about purchasing a MotherBucker by Kent Armstrong, so.. if anyone has one for trade and likes my pickups listed above... e-mail. Also, I'm looking for, and would trade for.. a vintage Silvertone 'Mosrite' style Tailpiece and bridge.. but just one or the other would be cool too.

  11. If your broke then I'm going to have to end our little affair. Sorry.
  12. He'd better be over joyed... I'm dead sexy, baby.
  13. Hmm, who is this Alex? Think maybe I should sweet talk him into buying my stuff and then dump him... ? ;-)
  14. Yeah, it might be, I guess. I used to have a Marshall CD100MR (or something like that) and a crap cabinet.. and it was horrible with that.. I've since gotten a Fender Dynatouch Stage 160 combo.. and it's still bad.. but I guess not as bad. So maybe I just need to keep buying more expensive amps until it cleans up. lol But my Stage 160 does have a really nice clean tone (retains it at high volume, as well).. except when a neck humbucker is selected. heh. lol I need sleep, it's been 2 days. blah.
  15. Well, I have humbuckers in my SG, 2 of my Teles and my strats (minis).. and I have the bass problems with all of them :-/ It's not my amp either.. it just might be me being picky, I guess.. I dunno. With distortion it seems to go away.. but.. clean they're just too damn bassy. heh.
  16. I'd have to remove the pickguard/strings... or else I would :-( Maybe since I'm selling my burstbuckers in my Tele I'll just try it in that.. I could probably get the p'guard off without destringing..
  17. Are you female and what do you look like LOL!!!!!! lol No, sorry. You can still buy all of my pickups though ;-)
  18. 1 set of Gibson Burstbuckers.. a 1 and a 2: Very purrrty chrome covers.. they cost me $129.99 each, pluss shipping! uh huh.. they cost me $270 freekin' dollars... grr. Anyway.. I'd part with them for $175, plus $5 shipping to the lower 48 states. 1 set of (3) Dimarzio HS-3's : $185 I spent on these. Black covers. I'd sell for $140 + $5 shipping to the lower 48. If you'd like, for an additional $50 I could include the black pickguard and knobs and the Torres 'vintage caster' harness all prewired. These are still in the guitars I have them in.. the leads will be unsoldered to preserve their length (which I never cut). The burstbuckers are 2 months old.. the Dimarzio's a month. I have no job.. so.. some of these things I don't need have to go. The Burstbuckers are in a '72 MIJ Tele Reissue which I routed to accept humbuckers.. it's a black body which I redecorated with a sponge dipped in blue and red acrylic paint ... it sorta has a psychadelic look.. well.. anyway.. I'd part with the whole body.. all wired up.. minus the neck.. for $450. Um yeah, that's about it. As far as trades go.. I'd trade either of these for a nice romantic night out on the town, or anything guitar related that peaks my interest.
  19. Okay.. I've been complaining about too much bass from the neck position... could it be because I install the neck pickup with the south coil closest to the, well, neck, and the bridge pickup with the south coil towards the bridge? Like this; ----------- South Coil North Coil <--Neck humbucker ----------- ----------- North Coil South Coil <-- bridge humbucker ----------- If I faced the neck humbucker the same way as the bridge humbucker... would it cut the bass? Or no? I know it's a dumb question.. but I'm also a Rapid Cycling Bipolar Alcoholic Insomniac with no job, so don't ever expect much from me ;-) s.
  20. I meant.. that's how I wanted it routed.. ya know? the two screw holes at the end of the long hole thing.. I'd be using a Tele switch ;-)
  21. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcI...&sort=3&rows=25 s.
  22. Yeah, mainly his modified Jaguar.. mod'd Mustangs.. and towards the end the JagStang.. which he designed for Fender. I guess it had a humbucker made by dimarzio.. which is unavailable to the general public. HS-4.. or H-4 or something like that...? s.
  23. Tone wise.. I'd say what ever Kurt Cobain was using when he recorded "You Know You're Right".. s.
  24. I'm looking for something that isn't bass heavey.. yet.. sounds good. I've tried all of the following in my Epi. Goth SG: Duncan '59, Dimarzio PAF Pro, Dimarzio Humbucker From Hell, Gibson Burstbucker 2... then.. Gibson Burstbucker 1. I want something with a nice clean tone balanced tone.. so I can throw a mid heavey humbucker in the bridge... Any ideas? s.
  25. Mosrite style Mahogony body.. flat/thin like a Gibson SG.. except with a sexy top wood (Flame maple, preferably)... 25.5 inch scale with a set neck.. yes.. set neck. Like the older SGs/Mosrites I'd like to have complete access to the upper frets. Routed simply for a single coil in the neck position and a humbucker in the bridge postion.. back routed for 1 volume, 1 tone, 1 mini-switch, input jack and 5 way Strat style selector. Bridge routed for the standard Tune O'Matic with stop tailpiece. On top of the bullet truss rod I would like a brazilian rosewood 22 fret fretboard with gibson sized frets and custom inlayed.. but simple.. a Star, Sun And Moon on the 12th fret.... while all odd frets having a very small dot inlay... all inlays done with the closest thing to blue as possible. The neck wood would be Mahogany, by the way. I'd like the headstock to be Gibson like in appearance.. 3X3 cut for Sperzel tuners.. Well, let me know... MyBluePeriod@msn.com s.
