    I don't what kind of wood it is made of. It is a standard Mexican Jazz Bass. Is there a way to find out what it is made of?

    I play a Fender Jazz Bass and I am looking to install some better pickups. I play pretty much every style of music, but primarily Rock(from Coldplay style-Dave Matthews jam band style) and jazz. Can anyone suggest some good pickups? Thanks
