  6. i have another question how do i figure string spacing?
  7. alright i measured a 6 string then a seven string and added the difference to the the 7 string. I came up with 2 1/8 at the nut and and 3 1/8 at the end of the neck. but here's what the guy from lgm said "Measure the distance between the strings on any guitar, take that number times 7 spaces, plus the width on each edge and there is your nut width, if I remember correctly the Leviiiathan's are about 2 3/4" or 2 7/8" wide at the nut, I can't remember for sure though. I just know at the 24th fret that the board is 3 1/8" wide." can anyone with a eight string or anyone that has built an eight string help me out with the dimmensions?
  8. my eight sting pickup is a emg-45cs and they are accually 6 string bass pickups and i want 2 pickups with a 3 way selector switch and emg does show it b/c they are bass pickups. they are also active. does anyone know how to wire this?
  9. i know many people use the emg-45dc but has anyone used the emg-45cs?
  10. i agree i think you'll get the best sound out of a sure sm57 or 58 with an condesor further away!
  11. One wire joins the beginning of the coil, and one joins the end of the coil. The beginning is usually the ground, the end is usually the hot. Nice and simple. ← hwo is this done with a shielded wire? or a bare?
  12. i know its been talked about but it's still unclear to me where do the wires go that come from the pickup? is it like before you start winding you put a wire from the begining and one at the end of the wind? someone please help me! or is this more clear where do the wires from the pickup come from?
