do a search, but i should tell you that if you paint it black certain parts will remain gold, the threads for example, also the paint will wear off quickly on the nut.

if the screw it self isnt stripped then the wood may be, for this fill the screw hole with epoxy of wood filler, drill a pilot hole and screw it back in, if the screw itself is stripped....buy a new one

looks great

jcguitars.com has a lot of name brand pickups for 50 dollars (used) and some available in pink,
pink knobs http://cgi.ebay.com/New-PINK-IBANEZ-JEM-Kn...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Strat-Knobs-Pin...1QQcmdZViewItem
you could probably just paint the 3 way switch tip.
Just for fun: http://cgi.ebay.com/24-FENDER-NEON-PINK-GU...1QQcmdZViewItem
straplocks: http://cgi.ebay.com/DUNLOP-STRAPLOCKS-GUIT...1QQcmdZViewItem
youre on your own for the pickup rings
-
just paint it on, after a while dirt woud get caught on the side of the decal and it would just look much better painted on
-
the fine tuners rase the string slightly, that may work
-
everything warmoth is high quality
-
ebay maybe, some one here made his own headless tuners
-
you could do a re-top but thats really more trouble than its worth, it would be a good experience though.
-
bad experiences with warmoth? ive heard only good things, the finish should be fairly easy to do, as for pickups i would just go for seymour duncans.

Jimi Hendrix- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v40/fabg...20Strat/mp1.jpg
Eric Clapton- http://www.tenstorylove.com/bpage/images/esp_front.jpg
George Harrison- http://www.tenstorylove.com/bpage/images/rocky_top.jpg
Don'y know how good they look but they sure ar succesful, unless you have HUGE brush marks, clearing and then sanding will still work.
-
a little steap but it should do the trick
-
really the only difference between super dooper mockingbird platinums and crappy bronze imports is what they are made of, you are just making a high end version, nothing wrong with that.
-
the paint kind of liquifies and becomes sticky, that may be it, danish oil, lindseed oild, or tung oil all seal necks well.

I usually buy my electronics solder from guitarelectronics.com but it only comes in 6 foot increments and i want a whole spool of it, so where do i get a spool of electronics solder thats good for guitar wiring, what kind do i look for? I tried searching but naturally when i search "solder" i got millions of hits so i figure ill just ask, thanks.
-
doesnt really matter what kind of paint stripper, they all work the same
-
3.9 lbs? injecting your guitars with helium?
-
are your saddles to low? i only have my E saddle all the way back, the rest are in the same spot and it plays fine.
-
so...i was kind of right.....YAY ME!

i think you should either build a les paul or a strat as they are both classy, but since its your first build maybe a tele or a strat, still classy just much easier than a les paul, woods: Les paul=Mahogany+ Maple , Strat= Alder, Tele=Ash/ Maple (not what they need to be made of just what the factories often make them out of)
-
relics that look like they were played and worn look great, relics that look like some idiot attacked a guitar with a blow torch and sand paper look terrible, example: http://www.mikelull.com/Stars%20Guitars/stone.htm

i think you route the edge then attach the top, im probably wrong though

normally closed means it makes no sound unless you press the button, i think you want normally open wich would cut out when pressed.
