do warmoth's necks come useable? i mean if it comes in the mail can i put it right on my guitar and start playing or does it need a fret leveling or something? im thinking about getting one but i dont want another project, i just want a new neck.

my grandma said that when she was in school, algebra was an elective, ah, simpler times
-
some people get math and some dont , i think its a genetic thing, my dad doesnt get it either. and about the pilot design, that upper "half cutaway" is actually taken from this airline
maiden69-i am a Sophomore. my school only requires 2 years of math to graduate thank god.
PS- the pickguard congifuration was also taken from this model.
-
i didnt even see that, i'll fix it. I'm not really a math person either i get the stuff i need to though after that my mind realizes how worthless it is and stops taking in information, i get stuck with the worst teachers. algebra 1 and 2 i failed both MISERABLY retook them in summer school got a B in algebra 1 and a C in algebra 2a i am now taking 2a again and failing, my teacher always talks about his boats and how cool space travel is. he is a terrible teacher. and he has a combover (thats not foolin anybody!)
PS. one day we had a sub and he had a combover too, is it some sort of algebra teacher code that the male teachers have to have combovers?
-
thats exactly what my algebra teacher says, its not true, ive learned everything i am going to use in life as far as algebra goes, tell me, how many times have you had to use radicals in the last week?
-
there is a wiring diagram at the top of this page, you silly goose
-
(has crappy peavey backstage amp)
-
im gettin to that, well if some one likes them then algebra class wasnt wasted.
-
you could just put them a little below the surface and make them flat.
-
OK, here are two designs of mine, the one on the left is the Retroid and the one on the right is the Pilot the retroid is named for its 60's guitar influences and the pilots name comes from the two guitars it is made after an airline and the ice man, an "airman" AKA a pilot. tell me what you think of them, i realize the retroid looks like a vertigo but i designed it before i had ever heard of or seen a vertigo, or fernandes for that matter

its not a fine tune bridge though, you can change tungings completely, E, Eb, D, you get my drift. as in he wouldnt have to undo the floyd nut and tuning control is all from the bridge.
-
it may be good just for getting a feel for making a neck and a body but as hughes said it is a VERY weak wood and would bow like no ones business if put under the tension strings produce.
-
i think you should get a hipshot trilogy bridge, then you can change tunings from the bridge, not the nut.
-
that sucker is UGLY as sin. looks like its from an 80's video game.

i saw a powder coater in the sears catalog for 100 dollars i think
-
i think its a 2005

ok, you said this "high pass filter" comes standard on a lot of ibanez's, does it come standard on RG1570's? cus i just bought one (in the mail) and that'd be great.....x2n with a booster? that takes balls.
-
see though i see how he turns the gain down as he turns the nob down its not like a on off thing he slowly segways into clean, but if you insisst i guess ill just get a circuit for myself.

Luck > wished
-
you ever think of doing stand up? (i realize it is hard to convey sarcasm through plain text so im telling you im being sarcastic)
-
no, there is definately a gain circuit he uses it in the song "tender surrender" he eases from high gain to no gain using the knob, i've seen him, he also uses it in "for the love of god".
-
well, you'd need maybe some epoxy paint, because if you used regular paint it would be too thin and would wear quickly and if you cleared it the parts may not fit back together, so i think the epoxy paint may work, a thin coat, but its tough stuff.
-
OK, i know steve vai has a gain circuit in EVO, so could anybody tell me which one? and also does he have two volumes, the boosters a push/pull, or he just doesnt have a volume? is there some other combo im missing? thanks, i know theres a few Vai freaks on PG so hopefully they see this and can help. i did search and didnt find anything.

you're more likely to have defects with a one piece but sometimes you can see the little crevices where the woods meed on 2+ piece bodies, no real tonal difference though. they both have their ups and downs, doesnt really matter.
