I can answer some of that....Fender licensed out their designs (necks and bodies) to mitey mite, wich is a replacement part brand, so say the headstockon your fender cracks off and you want a new neck and dont want to buy a new guitar, thats where you'd gat a fender licensed neck. and about the floyd rose: Floyd roses (original FRs) cost about 200 dollars, and it would be impossible for any company to put out a guitar with a FR at an affordable price so they made a cheaper version, the licensed floyd rose. And since it is one design, ibanez had to get the licensing to put out their edge, edge lo pro,trs etc. hope this helps

between orville, epiphone and gibson, you should be able to spell out what you want relatively close to what it would really look like.
-
looks good but i think u should take away that small cutaway on the bottom (the one opposite of the neck pocket)
-
looks too much like a burns http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home.../base_id/105137

u could always get it unfinished and sand it down a bit, get her closer toyour wizard.
-
the second one looks way better IMO

the base of the neck is a popular spot, maybe i have a sick mind (actually i know i do) but your icon there looks like hes doin more than rockin out.
-
if they are directly mounted to the body, no you dont need to cut the ears, but if you use pickup rings, you need to rout the ears, route down a full inch in the ears.(1/4 of an inch more than what you've already routed.)
-
eddie didnt like the headstock, he liked the neck. steve vai goes through necks like nothing until he finds one he likes.

Welcome Hasa, looking forward to seeing your work.

I was thinking of getting an ibanez guitar, i want somethign in either the RG or the S series, not sure yet, i hear some of their tremelos suck, like the edge II i think i heard was bad,any way what tremelos are good and what trems are bad and also, how is the ZR (zero resistance) tremelo?

i know the buttin is still a switch, it just automatically turns itself back on wich is wat i want, and thanks weezerboy, i was unaware of that
-
i dont wanna burn out a switch or anything, besides i wouldnt take the chance of leaving it off when i wanted it on and visa versa get everything screwed up and the world would implode so the buttons for me

i think you should rout it out then use the liquid inlay type stuff, its like epoxy, but then it would fill everything and still look good
-
what i meant was "buckethead" he uses it and does cut outs during songs and it sounds cool, also jack white has some cut out moments that i dont think i could duplicate with out this switch.
-
Yeah, i want a non latching switch that cuts out when pushed, any body have links to where i can find one?
-
i working on a bucket head tribute guitarand he has a double fat strat type set up in his LP two humbuckers,a volume, two tone, but in the fourth hole he has a kill button similar to this http://cgi.ebay.com/Push-Button-Switch-Nor...1QQcmdZViewItem
now if i did all the wiring standard except instead of the wire going to the output it went to this, then the output, would that work ? thanks
-
how about make that logo the 3 way switch ring?
-
a while back the screw on my strap button came loose, tightened it, came loose again , tightened it, came loose again so i took out the 1 inch screw and replaced it with a 4 inch screww, never had the problem again, dont think i ever will.
