  1. Hi , I´m wiring 2 pickups(81&85) with 1volume 1 tone and a 3way toggle switch...I´m following the diagram in this page : www.emgpickups.com/pdf/2 EMG 1v 1t 3wt.pdf I´m almost sure that I´m doing everything right but I can't get the volume control to work it doesn´t change the volume in anyway ,maybe the volume pot has a problem or maybe I´m grong in some way ...I´d apreciate your help..
  2. Hi i need help in wiring some Emg 81 & 85 pickups to an ibanez guitar My problem is that I don´t now what wiring diagram to follow because the pickup selector for the ibanez guitars are different so It seems that the wiring diagrams on the emg official page doesn´t work for me.. The guitar should finish being a guitar with 1 volume 1 tone (25k each)..and two hambuckers the 81 on the bridge and 85 on fingerboard and a 3 way switch... If someone could help in what to do...or send me a wiring diagram to my mail or whatever would be really apreciated!
  3. Ok..thank´s Brian ... Then ,it would be okay if I paint it with laquer over the enamel primer paint and then clear coat it all with TRANSPARENT LAQUER?? Or It´s better if I do everything with enamel even thought I would have to change the color in wich I´ve had planed to paint the guitar??? Thank´s !!
  4. Hi everyone This question it´s maybe simple but anyway I´ll better ask. I am doing a guitar right from the wood.. I´ve already prime it with enamel spray paint, but then it comes the color coat, I ´m looking for a finish that I have only been able to find in Laquer spray paint. I have asked a lot on what will happen if I paint with laquer over a primer enamel surface and then clear coat it with transparent enamel. Everyone has tell me that the result will be a horrible terrific disaster!! Anyway I´ve already tried this in a piece of wood and nothing happens it looks great and no problems..but i don´t know if the problems will come throught the pass of time or what!! Please tell what to do.Thanks for your answers
  5. Hi erveryone My question is how to paint the metallic parts of the guitar like the floyd rose and backplate.. I´m using simple common spray cans to paint my guitar but I don´t know if the paint or the process to paint the metal is different.. Any help is apreciated

  7. Hi,I´m new to the site.... My question is about painting the pickups of a guitar .I´ve seen many guitars and they have the pickups painted according to the finish of the guitar. in my case I´m finishing my first guitar and I want to paint the pickups but I don´t know if this is done the same way the guitar is painted. The pickups of the guitar are EMG and I´m painting the guitar with spray cans. My question is basically because i don´t know if painting the pickups affect in some way the sound of a guitar. Thank ya´all
