  1. It'd be worth experimenting with different materials, but there's no good reason it shouldn't work for you. Ulrich Teuffel made his Coco guitars with an aluminum plate between the neck and body: "The neck and body are connected to an aluminum base by a screw-connection, in order to link the vibration between the two components. Deadspots are thereforen avoided. Additionally, the guitar responds easier because of it and the tone is more differentiated." Teuffel Guitars
  2. Hi,drezdin/C I didn't know you were here or the Gear Page..small world?Yeah,I'm switching a few things around on Mark's NiteFly.I've redone a couple more crazy necks too,you can see/hear at the sites below.I hope you're doing well.
  3. Thanks lots..I'll give this a try asap, and let you know how it goes
  4. Thank you, really I'm impressed.I'd have searched, but thought for sure it would've been fruitless.Sorry I underestimated..you are certainly on top here. So,the cap bridges the two outside lugs, and the center lug joins the cap at the outside lug("in")?Or the center lug runs to ground on top of the pot)? And,in the case of the image I show here, what might the "in" and "out" of your diagram pertain to?That is,from where on the volume pot does the "in" arrive to the bass pot? Thanks for humoring me.
  5. Hi,folks I'm new here, and having trouble figuring out how to wire a guitar for a friend. It's a Parker NiteFly,with one volume/one tone controls, and he wants it rewired so the tone becomes a bass roll-off control, like his G&L Comanche. I was offered the advice to wire it according to the image posted here, and I used the pot and cap values from a G&L schematic.I've tried both .022 and .047 caps with a 1Meg pot,and I can't hear a bit of difference in any of the new bass control's settings;I really don't think it's doing anything. I only have very basic guitar electronics experience,so I'm not sure what else to try.Any ideas? Thanks for looking.
