Got the ME-50 today for anyone who cares. I love the distortions from it but I can't get a nice clean no matter what I do There's loads and loads of noise coming for it though

Hey, I've nothing against rack effects apart from the price. I'd love a rack set up. But you know someone will hate racks. Not me though.

Then again, some people don't like rack effects... Off topic but I went to the newest (and smallest) guitar shop in town today. He had the ME-50 for €300 which is a good price but the GT-6 was €550!!! I could get the GT-8 for a hundred cheaper.,

That's true but it also means there's little point upgrading the trem. I'd like a guitar for alternate tunings too so the floyd is right out for that.

There's not really a lot of tuning issues with them. Blocking one would mean the tone is still going through the knife edges. Still won't sound as good as a fixed bridge.

I knew someone would say that The problem with buying a Real Floyd is that they cost about €200. That'd be €200 out of my guitar fund, leaving me with not enough to buy the guitar I choose. That said, the SZ520 is about €200 cheaper than the RG1570.

Yeah, I know it's my call, just wanted opinions. I don't really want to get rid of the 7 but it's an easy €150 for new gear. The GT-8 is very very nice looking. If I can get one for the price of a ME-50 and the 7 string, why not? I'm selling my computer and I want a new guitar but I'm not sure what to get. My main guitar is a LTD M-100 with EMG (85 & 81) and an extra volume pot. All my guitars have floyd roses on them but not very good floyds and I'd like a set neck/fixed bridge guitar but I'd also like a guitar with a good floyd. I'm just confused.

Right now, I'm trying to decide: Sell the ME-50 and my 7 string, buy an Ibanez SZ520QM and a GT-8 or Sell my 7 string, keep my ME-50 and buy an Ibanez RG1570 Prestige. Opinions?

I have a ME-50 coming into me at the end of the week and I'm really looking forward to getting it BUT I have realised that I can sell the ME-50 locally as well as selling my 7 string to buy a GT-8. Anyone else think I'm insane? I know I do

Ah, ok. I did't know you had a mod in Australia. I just was just thinking that there was a few threads that needed attention. (I was also quite drunk when I posted this thread. Apologies) -
I know this may be a stupid thread but personally I think it may be time for a mod on a different time zone to Wes and Brian. I appreciate all the work they have done but they can't be on all the time hence the request for a mod on a different part of the globe.

I'm not sure of ESP's status in the States. All I know is that in Europe, the UK forum admin is one of the most helpful people I have ever met online. It's annoying to hear about your case problems Wes but I seem to recall ESP were having problems with their case manufacturer in Holywood. I'm sure you can appreciate such set backs.

I'm just gonna say that ESP support is great in the UK and in Europe in general. I'm a mod over on the ESP UK forums and the admin is a great bloke who will help you out as best he can. Sorry to hear about your problems Wes, but ESP is a small enough company so keeping up with demand isn't the easiest.
