If you're old enough to drink, get a couple of big bottles of Grolsch lager. They have rubber washers on the top of the bottle that you can use to stop the strap coming off.

The latency is too high. You'd be lucky to be 20ms off. You'd more likely be 200 ms off the beat. It'd just be a big mess.

yes.that guy on the other site is right.you should have 24 frets and that is throwing your intonation off.
why do i get the feeling that some clueless guy is going to tell me it makes no difference?
OMGZ!!!111!!! UR DUMB. DAT DUZN'T MAKE NE DIFFFERNCE!!!111 MAKE ME MOD!

Matt's guitar did it for me this month. Gotta love blank fret boards and that finish is gorgeous.

Upload the pictures to a service like ImageShack, then post the links to the page in the thread.

(like my pink pencil?)
Best chat up line ever!
Nice work too... Looking forward to seeing it finished.

XP Pro with SP2 will serve you well.

Drummer dude, watch the language.

The EC-100 is a maple cap instead of a veneer as far as I know.

You are looking for a guitar though, in the other thread.
As I said in the other thread, go and start saving. What'll it be in Austrailian Dollars? $20? $30? Not a lot either way.
-
Those shipping costs are extremely reasonable in my opinion. I had to pay €60 recently to get a guitar shipped from Belgium to Ireland. That's not a great distance but it's expensive shipping!

There ya go. Slightly more expensive than the eBay site but he ships to Austrailia and he's kind enough to fund the forum that you're on right now.
But I have to concur with Wes. You have an explorer and you're looking for charity? That's just extracting the urine. I worked for a summer to afford my first guitar and I've worked for ever guitar I've gotten since. Maybe you're only 15 but there are jobs for 15 year olds. Even if they only pay $5 at a time, it's still $5 more towards a guitar.

I have heard nothing but good things about this. Comes with Pro Tools and some other software too!
I used to use (and some times still do use) a P3 866mhz machine with 384 Ram and a 30gb hard drive. It was grand for up to about 20 tracks with no plugins running. Now I've a AMD 64 3000+, nforce 4 ultra motherboard, 1 gig dual channel ram, 2x200gb SATA hard drives in Raid 0. Plenty fast enough

Easiest way to figure this out is to get a fuse tester, checking each pin in each position and seeing which pins are connected in what positions. Then from that, figure out how to wire it.
Is it an Ibanez SZ?
-
Yes, I know that. If you read my original post where I suggested it, you'll see that I said it wouldn't affect the file size but it would solve LGM's beef with having to scroll to view the image, which is the topic of this thread.
-
As for the resizing issue, it's supported in basic HTML:
<IMG SRC="pic" WIDTH="300">
That would force the picture to be 300 pixels wide while scaling the height in the same ratio ie if the picture was originally 600x300, it would become 300x150.
-
It should be a simple enough hack I reckon.
-
What do people think of my suggestions?
-
oh...by the way...tutorials and in progress are still unlimited pics,as far as i know, and always have been
You sure about the In Progress pics? I've seen a few warnings over there about pictures...
-
This thread is definately flogging a dead horse but I'd still like to give my opinion on it.
To LGM about scrolling to look at pictures - why not just write some code into the forum software to scale the pictures biggest edge to 600? That way it stays within the forum rules, means you don't have to scroll and whoever is linking to the pictures doesn't have to do any extra work on the picture. While the picture would still be the same file size meaning that it would take slightly longer for the pictures to load, the majority of users are on some sort of broadband connection and broadband connections are becoming more available and cheaper.
Re pictures in posts. If a Progress thread has no pictures, I'll more than likely not read it. If it has links, I'll randomly click one or two and then navigate away. If a thread has pictures in the post itself and I like the look of the guitar, I will read the posts and possibly (try to) contribute as best I can. Having the pictures do not contribute to PG's bandwidth bill more than a normal link would so costs do not go up. Perhaps some more code could be added to the PG forum software to allow in thread pictures to be viewed as links or as tags.

Search is a great yoke!
Incidently, that's the guitar that first got me interested in making my own guitar. Still waiting to do it though

I can't say what I like for breakfast, it's a family website
But a pint of Guinness, curry chips, curry, pizza, chinese take away, lots of other stuff.

Ah, I dunno. Other people could win. Some people think it's a seven stringer...

Jesus, that looks sweet! Like the auto-sensing voltage thing too! Means I can import from America
