    for those that care

    edit:

    “Sound on Sound” effect/long delay pad
    On the intro on Shine On David is simulating keyboard pad his guitar using a very long delay. The guitar signal travels through a volume pedal (a second pedal used only for the SOS effect) and then into Roland digital delay unit with long repeats at 1500ms (20sec sustained repeats). David strums a chord, lowers the volume pedal and plays a solo fed through the “normal” signal path, while the Sound on Sound pad (the strummed chord) is sustained by the long delay. The pattern is repeated for each chord.

    only took five years for me to get the answer :D

  2. ...over three years

    Jaybee wins the award for biggest grave dig!

    And whys that such a bad thing?

    at least there are valid points, unlike some post bumping with just smilies or a three word comment.

    this way when people search for "sustain" they get some useful information....and thats good considering

    that people are always going psycho at newbs who don't search! :D

  3. i have an 80w valvestate marshall in the attic...but for some reason i can't help but play through my 10w squier amp...it just seems to get the tone that i actually want very easily.

    *awaits onslaught from tone-freaks*

  4. you put the stereo jack in place of the mono one thats the output of your guitar at the moment.

    so in its simplest form it would be:

    pickups->guitar controls->fuzzface->output

    if you use a few different pedals then its worth seeing what they all sound like with a fuzz before them.....

    it wasn't until after i installed a booster in one of my guitars that i realised that boosters need to be AFTER wahs :D
