    Hi Guys Has anyone tried to strip thje paint off of a washburn bass before (XB100)? or any washburn really, if so wots the best method of attack? Matt

    Have you tried just goin down to halfords and looking? if not, do u have access to a hand held airbrush? if you have, all you need do is fill it with black paint, then add a bit of silver, this is wot i use for car models, and it looks the mutts nuts. Matt

    Hi I feel like im continously posting on here, and i must apologise for this. anyway, heres wot i hope to be my last stupid question until i actually start making the guitar: is it possible to make a guitar out of either MDF or HDF, or will it just sound complete poop? also, has anyone eva seen any pics of an SG style guitar with either a Strat or tele style headstock? if so, how did it look?     hi all thanx for those websites Weezer and Brian, they are great, but im still having trouble finding a truss rod in britain, but i was thinking, as this is my first gitbox, would it be a good idea to but a premade one? Advantages, disadvantages etc, plz. Cheers Matt

    Ok, here we go, my first post. Right, i've decided that im gonna make a guitar (not a surprise on this forum i know). wot i need to know is where can i get hold of stuff like Truss rod, pickups and bridges, tunjers/machine heads etc in the UK? Also, any wood suppliers in the UK? Bedfordshire area? Cheers Matt
