  1. bass through a guitar amp is bad news of course

Sorry, but i dont completely agree with this.

It depends greatly on what the amp is.

We run bass through guitar amps all the time where i work (Recording studio/ rehearsal rooms) and find more damage to the bass amps to be honest!

But we are generally using Half stacks, most 4x12s can handle anything you throw at them.

However, some "small" guitar amps (and bass amps, come to mention it) can hardly handle bass at all, sod all headroom, and tiny speaker mean really bad bass sounds, much like the morning after a bad curry :D

  2. Nice guitars, i would have loved to see a TOM style setup on the blue one but the bigsby looks cool.  On the second pic is that a cut out bit i see under the 22nd fret? it just looks odd

It seems to be for the truss rod adjustment.

Very nice guitars. Did you give the Brown one to Sian? or am i just imagining that?

  3. Paisley was my first impression, too. But after the cathedral roof was mentioned, I can see the Michaelangelo ceiling figures now. Wow, that is really beautiful.

All I see are n*ked women.........or is it just me. :D

Careful, thats just a pick up rout.....

    Looking good D!

That green tele just kicks so much behind itts unbelieveable (sp? Come on, its 1 in the mornin!)

I also like how that Double neck is shaping up!

  4. I didnt say it over on the IM forums, so I shall say it here - excellent work so far! :D

Cheers Andy. Is it just you and me that go between the two forums?

    Nope, im here too.

But i dont post very often over there.

    Looking good by the way.

Very cool retro modern mix thing going on!

And that recessed control panel is so cool, as is the wooden pick-up surround.

What Pick-ups are going into this beasty?

Edit: Also, got any pics of the other guitars?

  5. Well, the wood has been sitting round for a while, so heres an in progress shot or two.

    Finally cut the body today.

And before you guys say anything, yea i know the cavities are a little bit sloppy, and that there is a visible glue joint, but they will all be hidden soon!

    Any way, the pics:

Oh yeah, and you might notice that i havent cut the heel yet.

This is because the neck isnt finished (yet! 2 weeks tops!).

It will be cut to size then.
