  1. It shouldn't get any worse, cause it already is. Everything is in basswood. THings are done too quickly and lots of holes are often offset etc...SO they shold introduce new woods like mahogany and take more care into their kits. Otherwise I wouln't mind paying an extra $100 if that happens.

  2. The hot wire is basically the wire that the magnetic pickup is going to send out into watever wiring you have and out through the jack. The ground is like other grounds in circuitry to be soldered best in this case on the guitar shieding or the back of the pots.

I am not experienced well and not 100% sure on how to explain. The best person here is someone like psw or paul marrossy. This is their section. PM them.

  3. very sexy indeed. But I cut the singlecut now. Too many decisions. I shrunk my original icefly, by 1cm on each end, changed the iceman horn and its going to CNC hopefully tmr. Sorry guys, always rushing here and there. But this body has to be done and buffed up by wednesday morning lol.

  4. I can tell you like you 'godin SD', godin SD, by your username, Godin SD. lol.

I took a look at warrior guitars, boy are they amazing! Are they chrisitan or sumthing cos bands such as steven curtis chapman gets endorsments lol. they made an acoustic model for PRS lol. Its only 6,000-12,000 bucks. ITs spare change..haha..

  5. I have never seen a veneer on a neck before. What you are referring to is the fretboard itself and that can be other known as the top laminate on the neck, however, veneers are very very thin sheets of materials used often for furniture to make them look nice of top of cheap woods. Veneers can reach up to 1/20" to 1/40...

It is best to glue on the fretboard with the cut neck blank before doing anything. The link will show the build a neck page on the project guitar website.

  6. GOdins are pretty nice. The guy who built the icefly has other people like me using his design. ONe of which kept all except the parker horn and converted the top horn into a mockingbird horn. quite nice frankly, but can't find the picture.

S**t!!!The gretsch duo jet. The father of all filterons. lol. However, I need something unique to get past my design technology teacher. Too bad he is a guitarist or else I could have used an existing design. At the very beginning, I wanted to build a tele, but straight away my teacher knew what it was, so no.

But trying to design your own body is a nightmare if some of you know. French curves did not work neither. Argh, my fav singlecut besides the duo jet is the PRS singlcut.

I am 60% sure on using the bottom horn of a PRS. but the top round single cut is too universal....

    Edit: found the 'icemocker' link.
