  1. ahh that sounds good but isnt it easy then to scratch it off? so not that (after it dried) it will loose its look
  2. Guitar Pic Well my Question is: does anyone know how to do such a work on the guitar body? I mean what material is that? how is it put on the Guitar? Iam dreaming of "customizing" my ESP KH-202. Like exchanging all the black Hardware (FR, knobs, tuners, bridge, pic up frames) with chrome parts, recoloring the PUs to silver style and giving the body such a silver look (maybe even doing some stuff with the Headstock. Does anyone have any ideas? or did someone ever do that?
  3. Yes a buzzing...a high *pling* ...i just had the feeling that the whole neck was too straight. Especially at the ESP LTD KH-202. I think this is cause it was standing without strings (because it took me a bit longer to insert the new PUs) so i guess the neck bended to the headstock direction so like that ")" (damn what a stupid description^^). Well what i will do is take it to the guitar store i bought the old one (with the fixed bridge...they need to build in the new tuners anyway, so i can ask what to do about such a problem in future) but thanks for the answer so far
  4. hey i have a small Problem, the high E string is scratching on the frets. This is especially on the Middle Part (7-12th Fret). Shall i change the setting of the neck screw (forgot its english name sorry)? i already tried to change position of the Bridge and the FR (since its a Problem on both of my Guitars :/) but it didnt help...
  5. Damn now iam impressed O_O But how did you get intouch with such exact plans (my drawing looks kind of crappy because i worried about exact details too much...but hey iam a hobby drawer ^^) especially for the Headstock... i mean how did you do the dimension with that (because of the angle). Its hard to find ANY pictures of that beauty...
  6. Yeah they definitly have, i also love the Gear Kötzi eventhough it must be really hardcore to build^^. i also would to see someone do the Caparison Marcury (http://www.kyowashokai.co.jp/caparison%20marcury/Marcury.jpg) or the Cparison venus (http://www.kyowashokai.co.jp/caparison%20venus/venus.gif) also i love the Horus (ok a usual Power Strat but with 27 frets and an awesome headstock^^) [Edit] ok Folks fresh from the CAD: http://img438.imageshack.us/img438/7356/1st0ew.jpg the first basic structure^^ [edit2] ok here it is the basic body without the the pockets for PU, Trem and neck but. iam always open for changes (but hey the whirls are just try outs in reality i would do it differently^^) Actual CAD Pic hope you like what i have done with this awesome original instrument ...damn how much i wish to play this thing one day^^ PS: (ok last edit for this post) i fixed some points and changed the pic to the actual one and sorry for missing words...i always type faster than i think.
  7. yeah right, i might be able to use the CNC machine in my old school but generally i want to also practise my CAD skills and since i dont have anything else to waste my time with . but iam happy to say that iam almost done with the basic 2D drawing (hard work measuring out the picture, relating the Picture dimension with the real ones and calculating a coefficient^^ but it worked out so far...)
  8. okay iam pretty new to this stuff and eventhough this might take years to be completed (it became kind of a dream) i kind of wish i could realise it sooner or later. May i introduce: the ESP PR-III (Cream) in the past it was played by Prince but i personally got into touch with it by the japanese rock act "Luna Sea" and their Guitar Player Sugizo who made this instrument kind of his brand sign. Sadly either the Edwards or the ESP Model are rarely avaible outside of Japan (not even talking about germany). Yeah it might be kind of strange looking but hey thats what i like...i simply love Guitars like The Alfee Angel Series, the Jeune Fille (Mana Samas personal Gear) or Sugizos Eclipse S-II/III Brilliant Mixedmedia. what Material i would use (ok lets not look on the money in first case ) Body: Alder neck: Soft Maple Fretboard: Rosewood ok not much new but hey the original was build like that so why shouldnt a "copy". i havent thought about the exact Mechanics (definitly a FR) the PU might be EMG 81 (Cream to fit the white of the body) and EMG SA. Some pics of the Edward Version: http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/2259/ds0011271818nu.jpg (the Edwards Model) http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/4903/ds0011271838tj.jpg (Edwards Model) http://img456.imageshack.us/img456/9190/ds0011271829ej.jpg (Edwards Model) What makes me a bit thinking is the whirl at the right lower corner and at the left upper ending. same as on the Headstock... Iam quite good with CAD but cant imagine how to realise the carving and the whirls with AutoCAD?! well like said no clue if it will ever work out (new GF, School...short on money) but hey atleast i shall keep on dreaming^^ maybe i will practise building on less expensive material^^.
  9. does someone have experience with 27 fret boards or knows where to get some infos about it. (as seen on the Caparison Horus) Also did anyone ever work with Acrylglas (Plexiglas) on his guitar (like it was done on the 2 Burny MGX models for X-Japans hide)? i think that looks darn cool okok sorry that i asked 2 things in one thread...
