  1. it means tell us how you got the blackice working, so the next person wanting help on the forums knows how to do it by using the search button
  2. RGR THAT maplins has some spst switches with built in leds, but i think il have to get these horrible maplin site of lag where my precious switch is held
  3. what are the switches in this picture (i could do with an exact name (such as, spst, dpdt, on/on, on/off/on) , i cant find one that looks the same, or cant tell). i cant seem to find switches with 6 lugs, also would i be able to use LED switches as i could colour code on/off, series/parrallel, in phase/out of phase, or would they use up too much power from the circuit ?
  4. im going to be doing a similar thing in my upcomming project heres the diagram il be using
  5. id look up the specs of each diode and the suggested ones... i was thinking of substituting some transistors but when i looked at the spec sheet they were 100's out.
  6. Original my version sorry for the rushed ms-painty-ness and if there is any visable mistakes point them out since i havent made this yet. this is my interpretation of it anyway.
  7. ahh i might post a schematic when i finished it the transistor was hard to find but not impossible not sure if radioshack will have it
  8. i put these pickups in they are sweet :D but i snapped the a string (tuning it up, wasnt even tight...) and cut my hand i think i will put on some ernie ball stainless steel
  9. the solar powered guitar effect has yet to be perfected
  10. i doubt it would work without a battery, im just trying to get the queen sound, although it works for other styles of music just depends on the pickups (shame i cant afford a vox Ac30 =/ )
  11. i was lookin at the black ice mods and decided i didnt like the idea, going to build a treble booster instead Treble booster Schematic (old but i found all the parts)
  12. aye its the hardest bit i find... ive ordered the pickups and got the transistors (hard to find ones) for the treble booster =D
  13. sounds good, im lookin at making a treble booster too with info off the forums harvesting parts is taking a long time....
  14. i can get some of these cheapish and im wondering what they sound like, it says 60's tone with a noiseless overdrive so maybe hank marvin, dire straits ?
  15. thanks for the advice, i just stumbled upon this site/forum i think i will find it usefull for my project (il post some pics when i get started fully) im still harvesting parts haha
  16. im currently trying to get all my parts together (i already bought these) and im wondering how im supposed to wire these things up... (i tried to test them with different wiring combinations, couldnt get a sound out of them). the wires i see are a unshielded wire, a blue and a red, i had i look on kent armstrongs website for the wiring schematic but its complicated and i couldnt seem to get the right one for the trisonics http://www.kentarmstrong.com/KA_Pickup_Wir...nstructions.pdf at first i thought ground was copper and red was hot, then blue was for coil tapping, it seems red is for coiltapping and blue is hot ? it says i should mix the red/ground (not sure what this would do). any advice appreciated
