all depends on how your doing the laminates. if you do it as thegarehanman says then that will look killer (also depending on what woods you choose) and 2ndly the shape of the body will change the appearance of the neck through.

So if you gave me a shape then i would have a more accurate decision but i prefer the look of it being taperd upto the body so ive gone with that.

nothing really to add but and in my own words... "Whoa! Thats mad!!!" and getting to them upper frets seems almost impossible. but top marks for orginality!!!

towards the top of the fretboard.. there looks like some rare colour... is that the picture or some sort of funky stain?

im not an expert but i would asume that you would stain before fretting. just to make life easier. but dont take my word on that wait for one of the more experianced guys to tell you.

I agree. it seems a bit out of place on this guitar. Something more traditional would probably suit the guitar better, as it has this traditional meets modern feel to it.

Appart from that though looks great!!

another way is if the pots have a split down the middle just take a pair of pliers and push them together a bit till the knobs fit on. I did this on a lespaul i have and works fine.

Some are a bit fuzzy from being too close for the camera but appart from that they are fine.

ooo 1st gig stories mine was poop. the levels were all wrong (i think the sound guy was drunk... well the singer was at least). And umm so 2 drunk members the singer and bassist. Levels were all wrong. I had to try and play a song i didnt know lol. i just put it on silend and pretended to play, then when my big solo came up i couldnt even hear it!!! but i messed it up a bit too so im kinda glad lol. But in the end it was a horrible horrible gig and we sucked

i will check the measurements. see if it fits or not then save up a bit and get 1 and give u guys the verdict. Hopfully i will get the job i just applied for will give me plenty of £ to pay for my projects.

at $300 a pop i dont think i will. thats just a bit too pricey. unless i can find one on ebay or somewhere cheeper then i dont think thats an option lol.

humm.... wasnt looking at doing any divebombing (hardly do it on my floyds!). I just like the feel/look of them. But i realised that i hardly play it because it doesnt have a trem on it. so i will be playing a song where i need it and then go... "bugger i have no trem" then put it down and play my others.

Idch i will check out that one just worried about it sucking lol.

Ok guys im looking at getting a bigsby trem cuz im so used to playing a guitar with a trem now it feels odd not having one on my LP. Only thing is i dont wanna buy one thats too short and leave 2 big holes showing.

Its an indie les paul and umm thats about all i can tell you. its pretty and i want a gold 1 Heres a pic of my beast (its actually got exposed pickups on it now as the gold covers got horrible looking)

(its also slightly lighter colour just it was a dodgy photo)

There was some discussion not long ago about the a similar thing. it mainly came down to the nut pinching the strings so when you play it pulls it out and pinches again out of tune. Or your tuners are slipping. So things to check for a V shaped nut (rather than U shaped) if they look fine then check your tuners.
