  1. Hi, I'm designing some measurement tools and now I'm with the shape of the neck templates.I enclose a CAD drawing about it and be grateful if you take me a piece of advise cause I have some doudts with te measuremts expecially in the zone where de truss rod goes because I'm not sure if the wood will resist with those 4.12mm and 5.12mm thickness between the end of the rod and the end of the wood of the neck. Thanks in advance.

  2. Hi, a friend of mine has told me if I could install an active pup in his passive guitar combining both active and passive pups. The problem is that the guitar (Jackson) is one volume, one tone, 3 way switch. Is is posible to combine both pups or is not a good idea due to I think they both should be in different circuits with a tone and volume control separately for each pick up.What do you think? thank you so much in advance:

  3. Yes acpken, I did it.I did everything like the diagram of Seymour Duncan I enclosed.I think the problema may be about the wire, I didn`t use shielding wire, and the cavities of the electronic are no shielded.I'm going to replace the wire and use shielding paint.all solders are following the diagram...

This guitar is a trubute to Matthias Jabs lead guitarrist from the scorpions and in my opinión what makes it unique is the combination of modern and agressive design in contrast with the classicism given by the beauty of the woods.

  5. Yes, I've grounded it.I was afraid of the wire broke down when inserted the bridge stud, but I tested with the polimeter touching the back of any pot with one pole of the polimeter, and the bridge or any metal part with the other. It beeps and mark 0.00 Ohmnius

  6. Hi, mi name is Juan Carlos, I'm a newbie at this fórum and I've felt free for asking my question in thisi topic because is something similar to Dalandser problema.I've built an explorer model of guitar but when I finally plugged it, I ended up with a horrible hmm noise that goes away completely when I touch strings or every metal part included strings.I point out:

-I've been testing in different equipments, amp, and amplitube on computer and the noisy is the same

-I've tested different guitars and others don't have this ground issue

    -I've tested different cables

-I've tested the circuit with the digital ohmmeter and it may seem to be right

Following I enclose the diagram I've used and some pics.

In the Jack pic, the black wire goes to ground and the red one goes to tone pot and to switch

The pick ups are ceramic Gibson 496R (neck) and 500 T (Bridge)
I'm afraid I'm going insane. If someone coud help me I'd ve very grateful. Thanks for advance:

    Juan Carlos
