  1. LOL. Shared space would suck! Ya it is awesome! I can brace in less than 1 hr on most backs, and around 1-2 hours brace by brace on most tops. It really clamps evenly, and I would have just as much or more $$ in go bar decks, and radius dishes that need to be replaced every so often~! I dont feel that a gobar/radius dish application provides the best surface clamping, and even pressure as the vacuum press. I have been thinking about doing a tutorial on how to build one of these, as well as brace with them.
  2. It's not a Venturi but the project EVS AUTO cycle, from joe. I've got 500$ in my press as opposed to 2500$ if I went commercial
  3. My acct wasn't even active! Plus this looks totally different so figured it was all new! Thanks Scott!
  4. Yea that walnut is gorgeous. I got 8-12 back and sides out of it got it all stickered and cut up waiting.
  5. Now for the good stuff : I took a trip to my lumber yard got a truck load, well my truck was loaded! Beautiful flamed walnut/maple/wenge/sapele/mahogany Turning the boards into beautiful tops, backs and sides! Walnut bends beautifully! Bookmatched back and sides, sitka spruce top, 5 piece maple/walnut laminated neck, rosewood board kerfing walnut and wenge Dreds, and OMs beautiful wenge OM, with Wenge/Flamed Maple back, German Spruce top Maple look very good, just hasnt been scraped in this picture, just sanded with heavy grit Got bracing glued up and sanded down, voiced the back Shop made curly Koa rosette My brace sanding jig, i put a brace into between the radius bars, tighten 3 wing nuts, and accurately mark the contour, hand plane dow to the line, and finish on my brace radius sander. Takes 2-3 minutes per brace. Mockup of Flamed walnut back/sides, 3A sitka top, 5 piece maple/walnut lam neck, rosewood board/bridge, zebra wood/ebony headstock veneer. I think these are going to look great. These are my very first acoustic builds EVER. Comments, suggestions and questions PLEASE, the are all welcomed. Thanks guys.
