  1. Despite the shellac on the fretboard being topped off with poly, the clamps not only squished the finish and put a red discoloration into it, the pads went BETWEEN the upper frets to do it!!!!!

So I gotta ask - how many of you heard be go ape-sh1t from where you are?

All that I can do is scrape it off, give it a good rub-down with alcohol, and do my best to salvage it.

I thought I felt a disturbance in the force.

  2. I would just try to find a replacement switch soldering isn't hard there is a ton of info around the internet on how to do it. Here is a couple tutorials I found one through google the other through the forum search function.

Here is a website to buy components.

http://www2.mouser.com/Home.aspx You would be looking for a single pole single throw rocker (SPST) switch

Others on here could probably give a better opinion but I think jumping with 22AWG should be ok.

    Hope this info helps!

  3. Yeah I'm working on that I'm trying to get the parts together to go for prototype #2 with the entire circuit on one board and in general better fitting of the components on the inside. Just got a decent soldering set up for the first time in my life.
