please help!! im buliding a custom strat ..neck is going to be a usacustom guitars 24.75 scale conversion 1 11.16th what top nut is required for a floyd original recessed? thanks

many thanks for the info.. am i also correct in thinking stretches fret to fret are easier on a shorter scale length?.. why is it gibsons i can easily shred on and a strat is really much harder work.?..

anyone built a short scale length strat? gibson scale on a strat body.. why are there no off the shelf guitars available like this?.. i am a gibson player but want the option of a floyd,short scale length,2sc and 1 hb.

thanks lads..i get the joke now i just wanted to confirm everything was cool before spending money on the woods.. as i said before this is going to be a scale conversion neck(lp scale) on a strat body.. anything else i should take into account?????pickup placement etc? im a lespaul player but have always wanted a lespaul feel but with the benefits of a trem and 2sc 1hb etc.

thanks perry,what do you mean it might be hard to use the whammy bar if its at the end of the neck?i dont understand.

i'm in the process of building a lespaul scale super strat from usacustomguitars(really top quality necks and bodies) ..dinky s body,63 profile strat neck(lp scale)jumbo frets and emg slv's and 1 85 in the bridge.. and a floyd original complete with sims l.e.d. fret lights.. any problems having a floyd on a tilt back 3 per side headstock?...

can anyone recommend any other suppliers for necks and bodies apart from warmoth and wd..i work in a guitar shop and we're looking into building some custom strat style guitars with our own logo etc..thanks for any advice.

hi all,i am new to the forum..looking at building my first strat style guitar,will be using a paddle headstock and need the outline of a regular fender headstock to work from..then will change the design a little as don't want it to be the same as a fender..can anyone help?many thanks,mark,.
