Yeah, I know about the issue about the bridge and I will probably have to add a slight angle to my neck pocket. So I will have to wait until the bridge arrives until I can do any routing for the neck.

Hopefully I can get the body blank glued up and the body cut this week, but I am gonna have to rig up my router to plane the wood. I tried planing with hand planes but that didn't go too well.

Well, time to start my first guitar. It’s gonna be a Telecaster copy with a poplar body, 22 fret maple neck , rosewood fingerboard. The bridge will be a Gotoh style wraparound. For pickups I’m planning on using P90’s.

It’ll look something like this, but I haven’t yet decided on the finish .

Hi, my name is John and I am from British Columbia, Canada. I been playing guitar for about 10 years now, I’m not very good but that hasn’t stopped me yet.

I discovered this site a few months ago while searching for info for a guitar I was planning and it has been very helpful for my new project. I enjoy looking at the photos of all the in progress builds and finished guitars and hope to add mine soon.

I’m pretty much old school when it comes to guitars , strats, teles. Les Pauls, SG’s, explorers ,etc are my favorites. Currently I own 3 guitars, a Squire strat, a beater strat made from spare parts and a Gibson Explorer.
