Here I want to share with you our new Axim Alpha bass that was finished not long ago.
Body: maple with mahagony top
Neck: bolt-on mahagony/wenge/maple
Scale: 34"
Fingerboard: rosewood, 24 Jescar SS frets
Nut: bone
Gloss finish
Hardware: classic black
Bridge: Gotoh 404SJ-4B 
Tuners: Gotoh GB707 
Pickups: Fokin jazz bass set pickups 
Scheme: passive, 2V+T

I'm Mike Boroducci from Axim Guitars (Russia).
We make handmade instruments for our customers and free sale too.
It is our first experience in bass guitar building.
Axim custom JazzBass was made for our customer who want а guitar with modern look and based on classic Fender jazz bass shape.
He is very happy with his new bass and  results of our work.

You are so close, ScottR. Basic color - light blue. We use a crumpled paper towels with black color. Each towel make an individual pattern. So, in result we have awesome "preloid" finish. It is so easy and so interesting.
One more guitar we make in similar way.

Continue to work with custom jazz bas body finish. I like woodgrain under oil.

I try to work with all basses, but there is one on last photos I have to build first. This is 4str jazz bass I made for customer. Other I do for free sale, so I have no time limits and work when I have free time. So sad that I spend more time for guitar repairs cause It's still main job, but hope to work only with guitar building in future
