Hi to everyone!
I'll be the second participant!
I want to show you my second guitar. I wanted to install very agressive pickups and call it Angry Strat, but change my choice to more "blues" sound. So now it's just an FatStrat ))
Basic idea was to modificate classic shape to modern look, laconic and without unnecessary decorations like exotic woods, bindings and inlays.
Specs are:
sapele body with maple top.
25,5", 24 bolt-on fret maple/wenge neck with wenge fingerboard, Jescar SS frets
Fokin pickups "ROut" set with split-coil.
Gotoh hardware.
So, here it is.
And short home video))- 1

Same here to be honest. If it's not shipping costs, it's taxes.
I understand you. Hope it will not interfere with our work

Totally. Now you just need to replace the body :-D
If your client can afford it, I highly recommend ABM's single-string bridges when the time comes.
I know about ABM but our current situation with ruble makes any purchases from foreign shops very expensive. I think it will be standard Gotoh bridge. It's good and cheaper.
But I hope I will try ABM hardware for our next custom guitars in future -
Neck is finished. Now bass sounds much better then before.

Great idea. Are you making a template from the existing body?
Yes. But possibly we will change some details. Or will design absolutely another shape.

Everything you do to that bass will make it better than it was. Harley Benton stuff is usually really poor. Not surprised that the neck pretzeled!
Absolutely!
Neck replacement - first stage. This work for my friend. He want new good bass, but can't pay total cost immediately. So we made new neck first, and will make new body little later. As a result we will get new bass) -
Only finishing and frets are need to be done

great looking strat man. It looks like you just shake 'm out of your sleeve!
do you have a website as well for your shop? or is it just building for friends?
Our shop has official page at FB https://www.facebook.com/SGWGuitars/
large part of our working time is spent for repairs, but we want to leave repairs in future and only make guitars.
This strat was made for customer. Few guitars we make for us.

And now th 3rd bass.
Some time ago I tested awesome custom bass, neckthrough, mahagony with maple. I liked it so much and decided to make similar bass.- 2

Second bass
Maple body with sapele top
Sapele/wenge/maple neck with mexican rosewood fretboard, 4str, 24 frets, 34", bolt-on
Gotoh hardware, Fokin pickups 4str Jazz Bass set
Want to make natural color top. Sapele looks awesome, see no reasons to cover it with color.- 1

I Have free time and lot of wood. I'm basically a bass player so I decided to make few different basses. I will post them in one thread.
They are:
1. 5str jazz bass
2. 4str jazz bass
3. neckthrough 4str jazz bass
Let's start.
1. I never like a classic jazz bass design, so I decided to make my own modern looking 5str jazz bass
Ash body
Maple/wenge neck with wenge fingerboard, 34", 24 frets, dot markers, bolt-on
Gotoh hardware, Folin pickups Jazz Bass Set.
