  1. Chrome DiMarzio's are a damn sight harder to get hold of than Jem single's (inc breed/evo matched singles)

I would'nt trade the Jem single tho dude,Your right to keep hold :-) I'm hoping to get a set of brand new (kinda) mint Chrom Fred/PafPro from a damaged j290th :-)

  2. They look like the real deal dude,I have a set of chrome evo's from a Jem 10th, and they are stamped v2 and something else, possibly b1 i can't remember

Rest assured, they are genuine DiMarzio's,wether ot not they are in fact evo's i can only guess

  3. Some people cut the lead to length before soldering, others cut after soldering. I've done both. The "proper" (ie: SkillsUSA competition judgers, which include certified technicians and people from NIDA) way is to do the former. So the solder encloses the entire lead, to prevent oxidation.

How? on Earth? do you cut AFTER soldering? Am i being dumb here? Point2point i cut to rough length, tin, solder job done I.E. Pot to Switch for example

But say a pickup,Once the lead is soldered there is no way to cut it to length

    I'm all confused

    Rob (help me)

  6. Last what color pickguard would look good with a dark mahogany guitar?

I'd suggest either of the following,

1,chrome(coloured chrome is cool) with standard black pickups and knobs

2,Black Guard with white pickups/knobs etc...

  7. What did you do so the paper wouldn't wrinkle around the edges of the body?? Did you wet it first?

Nice job, I'd prefer some Hustler pics :D

No water was used, the corners were actually sliced(thinly with a very sharp blade) and over lapped slightly, with the idea being once the rest had been finished it'd be right up against the edges and keep it looking "semi" proffesional lol

    I did start a "hardcore" xxx finish for a friend,but he's dissapeared so it's on hold :-(

    Regards

    Rob
