Why thank you!
Tragedy struck - found a big ol' crack in the neck. I was removing material to make neck thickness using standard hand saw, and I reckon I fudged it. Anyways, by calculation I figured all but 0.5mm of this will be removed in neck carving.
I also did the truss rod slot at this point, just to make sure that there was still ample timber behind the rod.
Onwards and upwards, prepared for the hidden neck-through top-to-neck join by routing a step into the body.
Cavities! Doesn't walnut just smell great?
Spent far too long deliberating which end of my maple top blank had the best figure.
Cut rough shape and f-holes, and arranged for a sneaky preview.
Nice!This beauty will play!

I love how the wood grain foolows the perfect shape of the body. Another master work! Congrats!

Sub-D is like T splines but on steroids. It is actually in R6 latest version, sort of watered down and hidden. you can access it by using the subd command in the command line in R6

I put this in the Black Queen thread and I'm putting it here too:
I wanted to say my vote for GOTY went to @MiloszM. What a triumph in so many ways. The way we build is very different, and I love that. When you go back and read this whole thread, you can watch as the extremely raw ideas morphed like flaming magma. Then started to form into consistent shapes, folds and curves. To see the final object come to life as an exquisite instrument is just thrilling.
Bravo!Thank you! That's the best comment to read from the master! I am very grateful to you

Yes I also use Grasshopper as well as other plugins, I have upgraded to Rhino 7 so I also now will be using sub-d.
Sub-d? something new going on in rhino. Great!
I tried grasshoper twice but my brain got overheated.
You are making great guitar shapes - balanced, thoughtful, personal

Had a bit of a noodle on the old girl. Gives you a rough idea of how those Trisonics are voiced. Sorry I set the cam down by my pedals. The switching is really loud!

Ha, thanks for the kind words! No Faustian bargains for me though, unless I stumbled into one by accident
I spent most of my teens and early twenties practicing hard, but I don't have the time (or desire, if I'm being honest) to practice that hard these days, so I've mostly been coasting on the work I did back then for around 10 years now.
Uhhh.. No devs ovnership then. Glad of the Gods protection!
I will go 10y back then and practice some more. Easy! Thanks!!
Shiny works!

Quick bit of noodlin' to test it out. Cheers!
You're my next suspect so i have a suspicious question;) Did you record the video first and afterwards made the guitar?
Its happening lightspeed beyond my recognition so I am confused.
Please one word on how to play like that??!!! How much of your soul is left? And for how long do you have to keep the devil at your place? Is the contract valid after exmission?
Your guirar plays shiny angels and looks great!!

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I used this on the 8-string to figure out tensions of each string based on scale length and pitch:
Wow! thank you Komodo!

It lives! And breathes! It sounds wonderful! Your conclusions on the Fluence are the same as mine. They have all the presence and punch of active pickups but are way more open and airy sounding and have lots of voicing that cover so much.
How is the input jack cover held on?
Thank You my Cthulhu master . I used these pickups just because I am a big fan of Animals as Leaders. I dont have much experience with other brands. These sound very satysfying
I fixed the input jack cover with 4 screws - 3 to the body & 1 to the electronic cover. Fixation within fixation is not a good option due to battery replacement but it does its job for now
