i have actually been working on phrasing and song writing because i suck at that. thats harder to do than to learn a new technique. im having alot of trouble with it for some reason. i think im going to get lessons so i actually have someone to critique me and help me work on just song writing skills. thanks for the advice.

i have 2 guitars with emg81s and ibanez JS and and LTD M-350. the ibanez is a bolt and the Ltd is a neckthru and i can clearly hear a difference in tone from both the guitars. i ibanez has more "snap" and the ltd is mellower. this how ever could be due to different body woods so i cant really say for sure that it makes a difference.

honestly i have never heard that band and last time i checked im not vanilla ice (i would confess intentional copying, *IF* that was what i did). so i guess if you play |-----12--------------12--------- |---------15p12---------15p12-- |-15b------------15b------------ |---------------------------------- |---------------------------------- |---------------------------------- its copying ever single rock guitarist in the universe and/or galaxy, so if youve ever played this your ripping off someone. that riff is just playing 12 tones each 1 1/2 steps apart. it was actually inspired by a megadeth song "tornado of souls" but what ever.

well i practiced away my life for the first 2 years, about 8 hours every day. then i gradually cut it down to 4 hours aday and thats how much i practice now.

i own a Bill Lawrence USA L500xl and its really nice. sounds awsome but sometimes its a bit too trebly(to fix that just turn the pup 180 deg.). it sounds unique similar to a emg but with more dirt in the signal(it sounds more natural). they only cost $50 and they do really good twang for rockabilly/chicken pick'n. do try very worth the $ but they do suck at sending out the pup right after you place the order. it took em a week to precess mine then another for it to arrive. one more thing they only fit in the pickup rings that come wiht em.

the k2v dimentiosn are: end of neck to middle of "V" - 9in point to point of "V" - 16 3/4in. length of out side of "V" - 21 body starts at 19th fret

i put a stew mac 2-way hotrod in the neck theres just not a big hole becuase i hate truss rod covers and i like the way fender truss rod slots look , so i just drilled a hole. wanst too hard just took a while and it was scary. this is the first guitar ive ever made/worked on out side of the world of simple mods( installing pups, drilling holes, simple stuff) i was considering staining the fb black but i decided not to for ethical reasons. its not ebony it shouldnt look like it is. plus i like the grain of the wood. as far as hardware goes, ive decided on chrome hardware. orignal floyd rose, gotho schaller style tuners, and the pups not sure. maybe a Duncan JB and Jazz or set of Dimarzio X2N. i dunno if im going to take the leap and buy pups ive never heard (Dimarzios). i have a bill lawrence usa l500xl in one guitar and emg 81 in my other, so i want somthing hi-gain but different. oh yeah, for the inlays on the fb im putting a Zombie sillouet(like the one in the Stubbs the Zombie Logo, which also happnes to be great game) or the typical zombie hand rising out of the ground at the 12th fret. im a big fan of horror movies so any other suggestions for inalys would be great. thanks for taking a look

just needs a few holes drilled and some paint, frets, and hardware.. specs: 24 frets neckthru (3pc. quarter sawn maple) alder wings Rev. ESP/LTD headstock Jackson/B.C. Rich vee shape( i did dimentions some where in between the two) will eventually be red with black bevels go here for the rest of the pics. tell me what u think

ive decided i want to sell the gutiars i make so i need a headstock design. how much different from another brand do i need to be to not get sued? i like pointy jackson/esp/kramer etc headstocks i want something similar but not the same...

ok i have a neckthru guitar and i cant figure out how to drill the holes going from pup cavity to pup cavity how would i do this? is there a drill bit thats at a 90deg. angle or am i just over thinking this.
