About AlenHadzicUSA

  1. Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing well during this crazy time. Need some help: I bought a neck for a telecaster project. The guitar scale length should be 25.5"- and in fact, from the nut of the guitar to the 12th fret, we have 12.75". HOWEVER, from that 12th fret to bridge (where the string lies on the saddle), I consistently measure 13.75". Somehow there is an extra inch somewhere! I tried measuring in a million different ways. From NUT to BRIDGE i get 26.5". This is a 6th string guitar neck. I have the EXACT same telecaster body with a fender tele neck and I measure 25.5" without any issues. I KNOW that my bridge is in the right position. When i looked at the NEW neck and compared it to my old tele, i noticed that it looked longer (both necks are sitting snug in their respective pockets). It seems as if the explanation is that the nut is a full inch higher than on my tele neck. The bases are at the exact same level when noticing this. Going crazy here- does this happen? Am I crazy? Will this affect playing?
