I would like to thank everyone for their helpful suggestions on how to remedy my 14" harbor freight bandsaw.
I replaced rubber belts with new link belts & changed my blade to a 1/2" flexback blade with 3TPI &put it on the second slowest speed.
I was able to cut through a piece of 8/4 red oak with No Problem!
Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you!
Much appreciated!!!!!

I bought a linkbelt to replace my rubber belts.
I hope that helps and I will try a slower setting for more torque.

Thank you.
That guitar played fine last night I picked it up today when my band came to rehearse and the neck was separating from the body.
I was so disappointed.

I made the body from walnut and the pickguard. I bought the neck on eBay..

I think it might be the belts slipping because I cut a pickguard on it last night and it cut fine.
But when I try thicker stock it stops the blade and I turn it off then turn it back on and the motor runs but the blade doesn't turn. I half to use a scrap board to .make the blade move then it will turn and get up to speed. When I go to cut the thick boards again it stops the blade again.
My first scratch build ever

Yes Mister Mike V.
It is walnut, the body is one solid piece and the neck is one piece.
Thanks for the positive feed back. I appreciate it.
