Im thinkin about making my first guitar, but have been put of by a freind going on abot the balance and other weight isues, i have known him to talk out of his arse. is he ?

Wondering if it woulkd be possible to stain my guiatr blue then put laquer on it, would i be able to to use filler to fill the knocks and bumps it has took through its years, also is it still possible to laquer it .thanxs

DO NOT USE A SOLDERING GUN these are very diffcult to use and dont give good results use a soldering iron 30 watt should do use normaly solder and make sure all joints/welds are shiny if not get a solder pump remove the solder and then resolder the joint. just rember to use flux core and dont bother with an epensive one unless u are plaing on solder miro chips and other small heat sentive eletronic item the ones in guitar are nt that heat sentive.

i took the trem cover of to day on my guitar to find one of the screws that goes into the body where the springs are attached was not screwed in, a soon discovered that there was no longer any thread left in he wood so with the force of the springs the screw slides right out , im planin to take it back to the shop tommorow, any body had same problem ? any ideas of how to fix it myself ? Please respond quick !
