hi guys

ive been writing alot of songs recently and i finally decided to buy a digital multitrack recorder. im thinking 8 tracks: 2 guitar,drum,bass keys,etc.

i want something without effects if possible(if it lowers the price)because i have enough effects in my pedalboard...since i have no clue to whe it comes to recording, im asking you guys to tell me what i more or less need.

im planning to spend 500$ to 1000$ canadian.

tips, tricks suggestions?

Erm, violins work, don't they? And they don't have frets.

A violin's strings are played with a bow which keeps the string vibrating. If you have ever heard pizzicato strings (where they pluck the strings) you would know that the string will not vibrate much at all. Also, violin strings are a bit larger I think.

when you pluck a violin, it doenst vibrate much because the string is shorter.

has nothing to do with a bow or not

and keep in mind that a violin neck i waaaaay smaller and easier to learn all the "sweet spots".id like to try one myself

ive seen the amount of guitar players go up drastically in the past 3 years.

i started taking guitar lessons in 7th grade at school and there was like 5 people in the class.now 3-4 years later theres soooo many guitar players in the school.its something thats considered "cool" to do now.but the only thing is that noone actually puts enough energy into learning it it.thay all think theyre rockstars and just because they own a guitar the ladies will love them. all that to say, its not a thing of the past at all!

and also id like to buy a bass neck blank, preferably something inexpensive like maple.any suggetsions where to look?
