I believe the hype so I will keep using nitrocellulose lacquer.

If you are worried about tear out use a wood stabilizer first. I had a set of gorgeous pair of book matched spalted drop top. It was very fragile, so I coated it with epoxy before I started to work with it. The epoxy stabilized enough so I could join the edges and glue them together. Bondo makes a product called wood stabilizer. I have never tried it, but others have stated that it works quite well on spalt and burl. Here is a link to it on Amazon.

Poly is really hard to relic and make it look convincing. Just thought I would throw that in there.

Locking tuners are a must for the working guitarist. They are great for fast string changes.

If you are talking about International Luthiers Supply, Inc. then you are not alone. A couple guys over at the Reranch forum have had trouble with them also. One guy ordered a loaded pickguard and it took for ever for them to send it and when they did they sent the wrong one. It took the guy several months to get it straighten out. Folks who run their business like this deserve to be outed. If they give poor customer service the only way someone else does not get owned by them is by word of mouth. I will not deal with them and I suggest you folks stay away from them as well.

I say post the company name. If they were an upstanding company doing quality work then they would not have sent that body to you in the first place. If I make a mistake like that, I sell it as a second and list all details of the repair or it goes in the firewood pile. They tried to pawn it off and they need to be ousted! JMHO!

Found this page, with its own video....interesting!

I use them on my guitars and I am an authorized dealer. They are the best thing since sliced bread. Very smooth in both directions and it stays in tune and does not mess with the intonation.

Check out this article about the Summer NAMM. The Tremking trem was their 3rd pick as a most innovated product. Its a good read.
