  1. The bank in my town is reclaiming our home and we must be out by Jan5 of 08

I don't want to put the project "pedal-to-the-metal" and risk fuking it all up.

    I bought a small toolbox at a 2nd hand store for $5.

    I have

1 interchangeable bit screwdriver and customized bit set

numerous allen wrenches and one full allen set will soon be replaced by swiss army knife style hex key set

    2 needle nose pliers

    2 wire cutters

    1 pair of pliers

1 pair of mini locking pliers

    3 wire strippers

    1 mini bar clamp

    1 2" C clamp

and a mini ziplock baggie (the kind extra shirt buttons come in) with the other soldering iron tips

    anything else I need?

My drill press will be in my brother in laws garage and a coping saw will be bought when I get to that stage.

  2. UPDATE I got Rick500's cocobolo fretboard, TR cover blank, knob blank and a LP plan is the mail yesterday.

To quote davisguitars own words. I have to wait til school starts to have a guitar builder as well as teacher Mr. Fudge(whose real name DG forgot) to get it slotted. But that leaves me time to find poplar big enough for the body and maple big enough for the neck.

  3. I built the holder for the drill using what was a signpost for a garage sale sign, a piece of scrapwood and a piece of bent metal nailed to the scrapwood and screwed on the other side so the drill was tightly in position.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I should use for the other end of the lathe???????? I only plan to be turning knobs and maybe a fancy pen or two.

  4. OK I'm going to be building my version of a les paul (the orginal guitar I was working on played humpty dumpty and had a great fall off the workbench)

My idea is to use a strat length (25.5") fretboard (cocobolo) on the guitar. Is this a good idea and would it work without me having to lengthen the body?
