    Can someone tell me the best way to slap on a 5/16 inch veneer to the front and back of my guitar? glue? and I dont plan on using a binding, so should I glue it on oversized, then use a router to go flush against? then use a roundover?

    When I spray a guitar, I heard that many light coats are better then few thick coats, but is 3 seperate spray overs at different intervals, better then 1 "lightcoat"? Should I use Minwax fast drying PolyU rattle can or Defthane PolyU spray can. is there a bad thing about using too much coats? because everyone I notivced who used the minwax used about 3 cans and im planning about 5

    Is the extra step of using the polishing compound good? I can easily get it since it is very cheap for my budget (only $4 CDN) or should I just skip it? WIll it make any difference?

    Hey can someone tell me the difference between these 2 products? Turtle Wax Polishing Compound and Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound Also are these any use in finishing? What will they do? Can I use both at different times, and in which particular order?

    Hey can someone tell me how decent these pickups are? I just wanna know if this will imporve my pickups by the slightest or might it worsen it? PAF Pickups I was gonna plan to use those to replace the pickups on my guitar. I aint expecting amazing quallity, but im reallllly on a budget. I think that they will look freat. but the question is that if it will worsen the guitar :S My Guitar (Red Sunburst) Its basicly a starter guitar for about 199$ canadian.

    About the "chinese quality suck" I think that might be the truth to a certain point. Probably for the average part, it is on the lower end of the scale. However, you cant beat the price. If american parts lets say were that price the quality might just be as bad. But if chinese prices were a lot higher, which probably would mean spending more time making the stuff, then it would probably just as good. Just my opinion

    Ive been tempted to Buy one of these necks. But is it too good to be true? I Think that this maple would look awsome on my telecaser project. If I buy this neck would it be possible to fit? On there ebay page they say they can keep the heel square and all so... And this neck isnt just a 6-inline tuners? so would that mean the string spacing would be off? Nice Ebay Neck Oh and they got lots of other necks for you guys too just explore the shop

    I just discovered my Yamaha neck is in fact a wizzard shaped neck! Im quite surpirsed because this guitar I bought was witha starter pack for 199 CND in Canada! plus it came with an amp. Is this possibe? Or did I measure wrong!

    I too am going to purchase parts from guitarfetish. I think that they have some of the best priced parts on the net. But im a total newb, so i dont really know for sure . From what i heard, there parts reflect from there price. so the parts are probably not the worse, but they arent great either. Their pickups on the other hand are great from what i heard. For the most part their pickups are amazing and all, but some people don't like them as much as EMGs and Seymour Duncans for obvious reasons. IMO there pickups probably sound great and all. But take into factor, that I am a total newb Hope that helps.

    I have a question. Now that I have decided to stick with min wax rattlecan poly. Whats the best way to apply it? hanging position or flat? im aiming for flat position because its easier to get it even without it dripping. So how would it work? Do i spray one side wait 20 mins then the other side then do the sides? if im doing it flat how much should I spray? Also is there a downfall to putting too many coats?

    Ok Ive decided for my Telecaster project that I would finish it with just a clear coat and no color. But I do not want to use any oils because I like the look of a clear coat. SO the question is should I use the Duplicolor Clearcoat rattle can? Or should I use the 1 part minwax polyurethane in a rattlecan. The minwax, surprisingly is cheaper by the can.

    I've almost finished my saga Pbass. So far it has been great, and I have had little problems. But Just today I did the stupidest thing ever! I didnt completely tape up the fretboard! Unfortunately some of my duplicolor acrylic laquer (I think) got onto it. WHat should I do?, It also got onto the frets! Ill post some pics later

    How many coats should I use for an acrylic laquer finish on a neck? I like it glossy too. Also once im done sparaying do I wet sand the whole neck and all? Im also on a budget and I want to add a decal onto my white head stock any ideas?

    hey how can you remove the knobs off a saga kit? (saga bass kit in particular) ive tried a lot of things like the hem of a shirt trick and just pulling hard any ideas?

    What sand paper should I use to sand the finish and the main color. Automotive or wood paper? And what is the difference?

    Hey how about spraying the pickguard black? is that a good idea and is it hard? WHat paint should I use and would it require a "finish"?

    Hey I looked at all of the tutorials, but I still do not clearly understand what steps are involved for the main color coating. I Have a sealed Bass that I want to paint white, It is a saga bass. I have already bought some polar white dupli color car paint in a can, which I believe is laquer. 1. How many coats do I have to do? 2. How long do I have to wait between each coat? 3. When is sanding neccesary? 4. What steps must I take to prepare it for the finish?

    I have a Pickguard with 14 holes (imported and I want to replace it but I can't find a good deal for a black 14 hole. Is it possible to fit a 13 hole onto a 14 hole bass? I noticed in pictures that 2 or three of the holes are in different locations. Or anotehr alternative is to trade my white pickguard for a black one. anyone interested in trading?

    Hey, I just thought I might let you know, that there is a festival in up here in Montreal. The festival is from July 6th to the 9th, and it is free. It is open on the 6th and 7th from 4PM to 9PM EST. It will be open on the 8th and 9th from 1PM to 9PM EST. Seems quite interesting and anyone close by would probably be interested in going. They let you try musical instruments from all the biggest manufacturers, like Fender and all. Plus theres going to be more then 60 luthiers and instument makers, also there will be a lot of. Cheers. Plus can someone tell me how difficult it is to mod a telecaster ashtray bridge so that it can be used with a bigsby?

    I think I want to have a bigsby on my telecaster, but I'm not really to sacrifice the beutiful bridge, but, the bridge I have has 6 holes in it like this : So would it be possible to fit it on still??
