  1. metal acid dye? I have never heard of it what is it & where do you get it? Dave
  2. Do you honestly think that Ed Roman will share McNaught's finishing secrets? I have talked to Roman a couple of times & I have found him to be..........let's just say "less than helpful" If you have a good relationship wiht him & think that he would share this info, let me know Dave K
  3. Just thought you would lik to know...This weekend was the Detroit Guitar show hosted by Gordy's music. Other than some PHENOMINAL local Bass Luthiers..I thought the show was uneventful & a waste of money. UNTIL I SAW A FULL BOTH OF MCNAUGHT GUITARS!!! I have NEVER seen beter quilted finishes in my life! The dyeing technique, the color, the tone were all flawless! If you ever have a chance to check one out, do so! However, I almost dropped when I saw that the pricetag of my favorite one was $10,000!!!! If anyone knows where this guy get's his dyes, please let me know! Dave K
  4. Let's put it this way...I tried putting yellow over black & I have had to re-do it 4 times Light colors work best on chrome...darker colors work well on black I can try it, but you may see slight black outlines around the nooks, crannies, corners, and crevices If you want it to look pro...get chrome just my humble opinion Dave
  5. That Is a STEAL!!! I used to own a Lee Jackson METALTRONIXs head It was BY far the lodest amplifier on the planet! Almost too loud to use!
  6. Alex: $45 US???? Who do you use??? Are they willing to offer bulk discounts? I thought I was getting a deal...but I would love to get more info from you Dave
  7. You can, but quantity drives the price WAY down. If there were 10 or more people that wanted superstrat pickguards, then it would be cost effestive (ball park of about $35 each..or less) For only 1 it would be about $90 It's all about the set up & design costs of the Lazers That's why I wanted to see the interest in jems & rg's However, If 10 or more want superstrats...I can see what the costs would be Dave
  8. I'll make this easy...I have a line on a lazer/plexigalss company that will cut mirror & clear jem & RG pickguards The more I order, the lower the price for everyone! Who is interseted & how many would you want? I need to know by Tuesday at the latest Serrious inquiries only Dave
  9. Scott: How much are you looking for? Let me know Dave
  10. My partner uses one. We are just finishing a Paul Reed Smith "tribute guitar body". Of course, it is only for our presonal use, as Mr. Reed Smith's lawers get VERY testy about copys of their guitars . I will post pictures, but this thing looks BAD ASS!!!! Now I can finally have a Black Limba PRS body!!!! DaveK
  11. Is this easy enough to work with that you could do a headstock logo with it?
  12. it works better over chrome, but I can do black Dave

  16. Bad Photography! I apreciate the feedback, but the black spots are some goofy shadow effect! Each piece is taken apart, masked where they need to be, and look great I will be posting new pix in the next couple of weeks that give a good representation of what it actually looks like Thanks for the feedback & I will replace the edge trem picture with a stop tailpiece Let me know what you think Dave
