Thanks for your help guys. Derek, not sure about all the particulars yet but am thinking of a telecaster (simply cause i think they look cool) and i dont actually own a fender of any description (yet). Again guys thanks for your help, i'm sure it wont be the last time i need some.

I'm looking at making my first guitar and while i have learnt a great deal from this site already, i am still unsure as to what wood i should be using and what pickup will give the best results. I want a guitar that's going to rock and rock hard (i am only a young buck after all) and be able to produce a crisp, clear sound. I am planining on using mahogony for the body and neck but as for the fret board i'm not to sure and when it comes to pick ups i have absolutely no idea. If anyone has any suggestions that may help it would be appreciated.
