  1. Thanks for the input folks I used lighter fluid (naptha) after every rub down of new lacquer coats and the mark is not finger shaped, strange that it stuck for the first few layers, unless something wasin the wood and it took time to attack the sealer and lacquer. Not sure which way to go yet Jase
  2. Any suggestions???? I am finishing a Jedson teleish guitar using Nitro. The guitar was stripped by me back to bare wood and cleaned up. it was then sealed with Behlin? sealer. I then started applying ther Behlin Stringed Instrument Lacque with a brush (not ideal i know). The first few coats - no problem. However as more layers went on I noticed a patch where the lacquer seemed to flow off and would not stick to. The Body was left to cure for 4 weeks during our fantastic Summer (makes a change). When i started to rub down the surface with Wet n dry i rapidly went back to the bare wood in this one patch, now the question is why did the lacquer stick for the first couple of layers and then flow away from the area and what should i do about it. 3. Hi I have been nosing around for a couple of weeks now, fantastic forum, wish i had found it sooner I have been playing for a few years and i also buy bits of old junk (or gems) and get them playing great again. Last year I also purchased a Brandoni Tele(ish) Kit and worked on that, it looks good and plays great. I am currently working on a 60s jedson tele(ish) guitar that i have completely stripped back to bare wood. All frets have ben replaced and the neck is almost ready, just got the body to cure (nitro) and off i go - not expecting an amazing job, but hey, its fun. Looking forward to learning more and helping if i can Cheers J
