  1. First off, let me say that Doug's work is incredible. For those that question why do this with Laser or CNC..It's not the way..OL SCHOOL OLD SCHOOL. Just imagine what someone would have to charge their customer to do this completely by hand. Are you kidding me? What is your time worth. This board would take at least 30-40 hours to cut by hand. I can attest to that as I use to do all my inlays by hand. No fun. Sure if it is your own guitar, but as soon as you need to be concerned about pricing your instruments to the public, your views will change. Thanks Doug, the guitar came out killer. I am shipping it next week. Mike
  2. That neck looks great Doug. I am looking forward to working on this one. Going to be a killer guitar. Those inlays are perfect.
  3. Its a very cool design. Definitely has Neals's influence. Im sure he'd dig it too. The only down side is I can see that being a painting headache. Dig the mock up too. Clean work.
  4. I have been lurking this for the better part of the past year. Alot of great creative talent here. Very inspirational. I do custom paint work for Jackson/Charvel/ Fender and build guitars in my spare ...spare time. I have been an aspiring luthier since wood shop days in highschool. I have really enjoyed the site and look forward to seeing more creations come to life here. Mike Learn www.mikelearn.com www.learnairbrush.com
