  1. ok, basically I have a 00' Kramer Striker that I want to near enough change completely (apart from the body cos its absoloutly lush!). I'll tell you abuot the guitar first.... bolt-neck Double Locking Floyd Rose trem HSS Pick-up selection rubbish Gotoh tuners that dont seem to wana work very well at all!! cant realli tihnk wat else..... basically I want to remove the Floyd Rose trem and fit a standard bridge in, filling all the cavities.. I want to build a new neck to a 24 1/2 scale with like an Ibanez Wizard II kind of profile, Ideally I'd want it to be glued in aswell to increase the sustain abit. I may put 2 support rods either side of the truss rod aswell... simular to a strat neck. on top of that Im going to change the input to a JEM style input (near the strap button thingie - i duno wat u call it!). Im going to buy 2 new Humbuckers for the guitar (not entirely sure wat i want yet..) and a set of Schaller Mini's or Grover Because Im a UK resident, Im presuming i'd have to buy woods and other supplies from abroad!! I cant afford to pay for the shipping and customs, etc!! does any1 have any links to any good suppliers based in the United Kingdom?????? (or even Europe if there arnt any decent ones) I get pissed off with the net alot cos alot of wood suppliers dont provide prices - you gota email for qoutes and stuff!! I realli havent got the time to that any of that kinda thing!!!!
  2. cheers Brian!.. need to get abit of cash together first cos I still need a neck for 1 of my projects. I keep u updated as to whether things go to plan. Jd
  3. right, cos I have bad eyesight.. I normally gota keep ma glasses on wen I play guitar but wen Im on stage, it sux cos Im quite an active player!! Basically I had this really cool idea that I replace the pearl inlays with a thin layer of clear-plastic stuff (I duno wat the hell ya call it - im no einstein!) and then put small LED lights in there.. probably make a small cavity in the guitar to put a battery in and a small switch on the face of the body. has anybody tried this before? if so, did it go successful? could you guide me through how to do this? and importantly to myself, any1 know any good suppliers of LED & circuitry for them!??!?!?!? Jd
