Well it is a les paul body, how can i make it a les paul violin? ill see what i can do. I'm definitly gonna build some more violin shape guitars I just got a violin bow and i've been playing it on my semi-hollow. so it'll match ahaha. Thanks for the comments Ya i wasnt sure about the guitar del violino, its italian and its actually translated like that, but i see what you mean, i dont think i'll put that, prob just SPINA (my last name) and the design.

Ya its a saga, since it was my first guitar and i don't have alot of tools at my disposal... atm For the headstock i think I'm just going to leave it like that.I originally wanted it to be like a real violin headstock, but thats 2 hard without all the tools. You think i should keep it that dark or make it a shade lighter

Wow! I'm so happy, i thought everyone didn't like it cause no one was replying lol. I still haven't bought the lacquer (too busy with Christmas), but i was wondering do you guys think those dark burns are 2 dark? Maybe i should sand it a bit? WevZ-Thanks for the idea how would i go about relicing everything? Some sort of Acid? P.S. I just got a violin bow for Christmas!! Fits in perfect now hahahaha Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate all the help!

Can i use Oil Based Wood Varnish to finish my guitar instead of Laquer? Cause doesnt it to the same thing, protect from scratchs etc?

Okay So i've put quite the coats of diff color stains on this bad boy. I kinda like it. Its definitely original which was my main goal. (that and relic/burnt) 1 important question is i have to lacquer it now right... I dont want a big shine though. Ummmm What lacquer or varnish would u suggest. And how many coats? tell me what u think guys! wooo

I'm gonna stain it a bit lighter than that cherry red floor 1 have. Scratch n sand it up a bit. I like the relic look. Black pickguard etc. With lespaul knobs. But if anyone has routing tips for a guitar, should i? should i not? Anything i should know. Roman ogee too hard to pull of for a beginner? Thanks i love this site u guys are so helpfull! Im designing a logo i think im gonna put it on the pickguard, i dunno how though. Heres a rough, it was designed for the headstock, but id rather on the pickguard i think. So i'll play around with its layout.

Hi, my first mod. I bought some pieces and im finishing off this custom shape. Its a les paul copy but with a violin twist i wanted. Its gonna be reliced/burn/scratched. It came with binding, but can i use a router on the binding. I was thinking of Chamfering the edges of the guitar and not putting binding on it. Maybe a roman ogee edge, i'll have 2 buy the piece. And i havent routed anything does anyone have tips for routing a guitar edge?

Hahah cool i check our the LEDs in the neck, looks pretty sick. But u glued those in? How long do they last and...when they die how do u change them?? Or even turn them on? Can i see a pick of ur LED pickguard sounds cool

Sick man! Thanks alot Billm90! I'll check out the dollar store 2morrow and radioshack or La Source.... lol quebec. Ya i was thinking of maybe putting it in the f-holes and when u plug in the jack it lights up, and also maybe have a light underneath the pickguard to this lespaul/violin guitar im making.

Do u solder the - + to the the lithium batter? Or is there a thing that will hold the battery? :S sorry im kinda noob at that.

I was thinking of place LEDs inside the body, so when u plug in the guitar it could light up the leds. Or would i need a battery for the Leds?
