  1. i have an ESP M II deluxe...and it has a single coil in the neck position and a humbucker in the bridge...but every other M style guitar...(like kirk hammetts) has 2 humbuckers..and i prefer that sound too...so i was thinking about routing the single coil hole bigger to fit a humbucker...so heres my question. Do i have to strip off the finish in order to route? or can i tape off the area and route or do you guys have any ideas? because it is a transparent red finish and would be very difficult to recreate a similar looking finish...or am i just nuts?thanks

  2. i have a neck which is maple with an ebony fretboard...im going to paint it black shortly and im wondering...do u just spray clear coats on the side of the fretboard? or do i leave this natural? because if you dont spray anything then u would feel a difference from the neck to the fretboard. So just a clear coat on the side of the fretboard or what? thanks

  3. well we had the scale length perfect...had the string paths looking good..but then we put little nails in the holes on the neck to mark for the holes...and it worked fine on mine...but then we drilled his and bolted on the neck...and the scale was off and it wasnt straight..so the string paths were screwed up..we doweled the holes so were back to point A...so how do you guys do it?

    thanks

  4. im preparing to do my connector holes with connect the bridge pickup cavity to the controls cavity...and my friend just messed up on his bass so i was wonder what tool do you guys use to drill this hole? or special setup or tips? thanks...also the connector hole that connects the neck pickup to the bridge pickup seems easy enough...just a horizontal hole...thanks
