  1. Hi Oztradie, Where have you gone... Very quiet on your front. Are you just watching for the next guitar. Brians Classical looks great. Hope all is good with you. Chris just got hold of some great King Billy Pine, will keep some aside for my next venture. Fiona
  2. Looks great. You've done a great job on finishing the timber and bracing. Having to wait a week will send you mad!!! Enjoy.
  3. Dont you just love how the timbers are the magic behind the guitar. Obviously the bracing is important as well but to know you can custom build according to timber ,and the beautiful grains adding to the overall look. Wait till you oil that baby. Woohoo.
  4. Thanks Pete. Hopefully others will come and show off their wears as well. Brian d at the moment has a great collection going on. Check it out under classical guitar - back to school. I probably wont play. I love being aroung others who play and I love to sing but not in public. Stick to woodwork instead.
  5. Brian, what timbers did you choose? Glad u r enjoying the process.
  6. Hi Brian, Fiona (Myguitar)here. Love the pics. It gets me all excited about making another one in the new year. Possibly now an acoustic bass or classical. I would prefer a bass. More my style. I am looking forward to more pics. It is amazing how quick the guitars come together with chris teaching. And it is all hand work except for drum sander, drill, router and sanding belt. The rest there is a lot of wittling and sanding and grinding of the neck. The neck is the best, cos once you have that sucker shaped the whole guitar becomes alive. Looking forward to seeing the real thing at the end of year BBQ. For student show off time! Yippee. Chat soon.
  7. Hi guys. Congrats Brian, Chris said that you were going to post it on the web. Great News! Nice to meet you oz tradie as well. Good to see so many people come to the show from the forums and thru other friends. Look forward to seeing your works of Art! My Guitar.
  8. Thanks for the help with the pictures. Myguitar
  9. My Luthier friend Chris looks after it for me. We both decided that I should make one in the style and body size of his choice. My choice was just to go thru the experience! Of course I am now a surgate mum and get to see her 1 a week when I go to the workshop to see how the classes and guys are going. Chris plays it and so do the other students to hear how the sound quality is. I will make another soon. This one in aust will probably sell for about $5,500. AU. But it is not for Sale!
  10. Yes I love it... It may come as a surprise but I dont play guitar. I get to see it once a week and many admire her as well. She plays beautifully. I only oiled it 3 times with danish oil and a lemon oil. We will wait and see if I am to oil it further.
