I just got the Craftsman 10 in. Band Saw. Last night when I looked online it was $99.99 and went in today and that eneded yesterday, just my luck . Well I got it anyways, looks to be a nice saw. I didnt like the plastic on the Ryobi and Delta $99 ones so I went ahead with this one for $50 more.
So now I can get started on my build. I have all the wood ready to start.

US Citizens, for that price you can fly here and accomodate yourself in Australia for two weeks, do my course, plus have a holiday as well. Damn, you'll even have some spare coin left for some pressies for the family.
Now that would be a hellava vacation, I will have to talk to the wife about this.

Scarf Joint Slipping
in Solidbody Guitar and Bass Chat

I wish I would have asked this before I did it because that joint was sliding all over the place. I put the neck in the vise upright and was basicly hanging from the top of the headstock pulling down while I tightened the clamps but it still slid. So I am going to see if I can salvage it as is or maybe just cut out a section and do a laminate like Godin SD did in one of his scarf joints using the techniques here.
