  1. Here´s what i think about the desing. Dont´take it seriously thou.

If you want a neck joint wich enables neck to move. It would have to be a loose joint.

All this makes me to ask. Hmm.... Loose neck joints, anyone ?

Probably that desing works also as a tremolo. But only if you are fast enough to turn the hex key.

  2. I´ve been happy handplane user for a quite a while. Until now, I discovered that

I can´t use lever cap correctly to hold blade in place. The switch is rounded and worn from underside

This is Stanley Bailey´s plane bought as new. Owned for less than a year.

Have I misused my plane or is this common problem ? Are there any DIY solutions to replace or fix lever cap ? I´m not sure if

anyone sells replacement parts around here.

  3. personally, i would just leave it. thats a reallys small difference. and in the pic it looks like its centered.

EDIT: are you talking about it not being centered, or the truss rod channel sticking out of the end of the fretboard?

That´s it! It´s not centered properly. I also had this in mind to leave it, but there´s still bridge to put. It will be off centered too.

It´s a neckthrough guitar I´m trying to build.

  4. how thick is the fretboard usually ? how often you can see jumbo frets with separate fretboard on a strat? I mean those factory made guitars.

I asked this cause I made a neck which doesn´t fit my strat.

no matter how high i screw saddles in the bridge.

    strings still touch the frets.

I think there´s two reasons for this. Jumbo frets and too thick fretboard(7mm). heel should be fine. it´s 19mm/0.75" thick.

I guess I have to remove frets and start sanding. I´m not really happy if I have go through this route.
