I've used aluminium diamond plates for protecting my home built 12" 50watt monitor speaker. It's cool stuff to work with. If you get the hang of it you could try a full diamondplated V... good luck

The model is built by Ken Lawrence. He's famous for he's one-of-a-kind boutique Bass-guitars. He has his customshop in Eureka California (if I remember correctly) Ken doesn't have a website and his guitars are pretty expensive. Hope this helps, Gianno!
