Actually what I'm looking at doing is filling in a Floyd route and Re-routing for a kahler Hybrid. I would probibly finish the back sanded rather than jut reinstalling the cover but it would be painted. My main concern would be sonic quality. Thanks Again

Hey guys great board, I hope to spend some valuable time here. I was just wondering how critical wood selection is for filling a routed out trem cavity. The project guitar is a Ibanez RG Basswood body. I am just hoping to find a wood local and didn't know if a pine or poplar would be horrible choice. Thanks in advance.
