  1. Thanks for the input. I think I will go with the Poplar if I can't track down any basswood locally. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
  2. Actually what I'm looking at doing is filling in a Floyd route and Re-routing for a kahler Hybrid. I would probibly finish the back sanded rather than jut reinstalling the cover but it would be painted. My main concern would be sonic quality. Thanks Again
  3. Hey guys great board, I hope to spend some valuable time here. I was just wondering how critical wood selection is for filling a routed out trem cavity. The project guitar is a Ibanez RG Basswood body. I am just hoping to find a wood local and didn't know if a pine or poplar would be horrible choice. Thanks in advance.
